@CookieGirl1  thanks the knife just sliced through my nail like it was nothing.  at least it wasn’t wounded or painful.  Just super exposed.  the acrylics will help with what I was afraid of- bumping the raw surface or snagging it on something.  Plus they’re pretty.  Ha, if i can get used to the length.

My second and last Lunar New Year mani; doubles as a 49ers mani as well. 

• Base Coat - Deborah Lippmann All About That Base CC Base Coat
• Base Color (for all but ring) - OPI An Affair in Red Square is a beautiful red with a metallic / foil finish. It's an oldie-but-goodie and I'm very happy it found its way into my current "shop-my-stash" bin. 3 thin coats. 
• Base Color (ring finger) & Accent Color (middle & index) - OPI x Hello Kitty Glitter All The Way, clear base with yellow gold glitters. 4 coats for ringer fingernail - actually 3 full coats and the 4th was dabbing polish on to fill in bald spots. In hindsight, it would have been better to go with a non-glitter polish for the flourishes on the middle and indext fingernails.
• Top Coat - Glisten & Glow Top Coat

Thank you @Shosh85! I’m thinking these flourishes will come in handy when I want to add a little oomph to my mani but don’t have the time, patience or inclination to do too much. 😆

I confess that I wanted to swap out the gold for a silver polish (just my preference) but figured that would not be in keeping with decades of history and tradition with the Lunar New Year and the 49ers. So red and gold it was. lol. I think flourishes will be something I keep in my playbook - interested in seeing how using different nail tool brushes change the look.

Thank you @CookieGirl1! It’s definitely one of those things that I have to keep up with. The minute I go a few weeks without some sort of nail art, it’s all lost, so I’ve tried to have a bit of a rotation going on. Thankfully there are thousands of videos online to learn from.

Aww, thanks so much, @heartsmyface! 😃 I love red polish ♥️ but I don’t really wear it much on my fingernails except during football season & LNY. I know, I know, what do I do then with all my red polishes?!! They were for my toesies pre-pandemic. Will have to start that back up again soon.

This LNY mani is so pretty, @itsfi ! ❤💛❤💛  I love the gold on your index and middle fingers.  I don't think your mani would be as spectacular without the shiny gold on those fingers! 🤩

Aww, thank you @Titian06! I reach for silver more but in the spirit of LNY and the Niners, I went with the gold. I forget how pretty all the polishes are in this OPI x Hello Kitty holiday collection. 💅🏼

This week I am wearing a simple mani, but so beautiful! After seeing this polish on @RGbrown‘s nails, I knew that I will have it in my collection as soon as there was a sale. And I didn’t need to wait for long! This one is the gorgeous Zoya Tamiah, described as a grape liquid jelly, infused with holographic sparkles. It has an intense pink/magenta shift. Truly gorgeous! 

I applied 4 thin coats, although it was fully opaque with three.
