So I finally got around to asking Night Owl about other sales outside of BF, and got this response:

"I do have one other sale each year, it's the Customer Appreciation Sale and it usually runs for most of July. I also have birthday codes in the NOL Facebook group, so you get your own personal sale once a year. 😊The quantity showing on the website isn't anything to worry about unless it says final stock."

(I also asked about the qty indicator on some of the listings, wondering if I needed to jump on some that only showed 1-2 available)

I don't see anything about bday codes on their public fb page, but I see they've also got a private group linked in their profile over there; I don't use FB really at all, so I probably won't take advantage of that one, but I'm eagerly anticipating July!

@RGbrown thanks!  I actually knew about their big July sale but one thing that I find disappointing is that they almost NEVER allow codes or sales on their creme formula, which I don't understand.

In case folks didn't know, some other indie brands and retailers have private FB groups where they post private sale codes for group members. I do use Facebook daily* but I keep forgetting to join various groups. I didn't know Color4Nails has one until the founder very kindly offered me a private group promo code (to make up for delayed order shipping)—and this reminds me to join that group. I should also join KBShimmer's. LynBDesigns doesn't have one but, as frequently as Jenna has public half-off sales, a private group is probably unneeded. 😂 Anyway, if you're a FB user, check to see if your favorite indies have private groups. 

*Facebook and Instagram are the only big social media platforms I use regularly. (Eh, unless you consider YouTube a social media platform.) And of those 2, FB gets far more use; I'm on Instagram maybe once or twice a week, if that often. I occasionally use Twitter, rarely use Reddit, and never use the others. Though lately I've been kinda nostalgic for Tumblr, which is surprisingly still up and running.

@RGbrown  Thanks for the tag!! Omg I love their reply it is the best. It makes me feel like they shared super secret information with you!! I am not on FB so I will have to wait until July too but I love that they gave more info on the stock count. If I saw 1-2 I would have bought thinking I would miss out. I get very bad fomo lol. I love company’s who are so fun with their customers. It’s the best!

Yeah @Titian06, a friend works for FB and when he first started there, he used to say that if you didn’t have a FB account, you didn’t exist. My response? “Eh, I can live with that.” 😝 I’ve gone this many years without one so… lol. I go back and forth every once in a while about whether to get on one but I feel like I’m already online or in front of a computer or on my phone a lot as it is.
