Today is the day I lament just how bad my camera is. None of these photos come close to showing the beauty that is this manicure. 😥

I've got plenty of polishes I like. A few I love. Some with sentimental value. Ones I'd hate to lose. But, oddly enough, I never had a hands down favorite, the one I'd try to save from a fire or want to join me in the afterlife. 👻 Until today!

Cupcake Polish Aurora Borealis is a black base with stunning multichrome flakies that shift pink-purple-teal. That's the Holy Trinity for me, y'all, covers alllllllll my faves in one polish. And to top it off, it's got a dusting of holo microglitter as well.  I never ever want to be without it, and can see myself coming back around to it even as I'm trying to diligently work through all of my unused stuff. I'm also considering moving to a wardrobe consisting of nothing but clothes with pockets so I can have the bottle on my person at all times, in case of crisis. One can't be too careful. 

The second star here is Cupcake Polish Diamond. It's a clear base loaded with multichrome flakies that are silver as a base color but shift along a pastel rainbow of pink and gold and lime green and purple, and I think I'll use it pretty frequently as well, on top of my boring creams. (Today's base for it is Ciate Tutu, which is a lovely soft pink, but after three coats was still a bit sheer and streaky. Thankfully Cupcake Diamond was dense enough to cover most of that.)

Overload of pictures in a pitiful attempt to make up for the fact that none of them really show off the gloriousness of either of these 😅

I don't show off my pedicures often, it seems weird to show off my feet, but what the heck, I did my toes yesterday too.

These polishes are so pretty @RGbrown! ♥️ Love the sparkle. I’ve narrowed down the number of polishes to single digits - ha! 😆 I’ll put them in some order and get a few now and a few more later. 🛍 Ohhhh who knows, maybe I’ll decide to just get them all at once! 😉😂🤣

Okay, all of you nail polish gurus - – help a girl out. I love that blue shade from the summer Sally Hansen neon collection but I've heard that the formula isn't that great. Can anyone recommend a good dupe (with a good formula)?

Finding a light blue with that same level of "pop" is tough...Zoya Eleni maybe? I like Zoya overall, but can't speak to the formula of this particular shade though.

I can't really call this "Battle of the Chromes" because it was never ever a fair fight 😋

Makeup Revolution vs ILNP

ILNP is fabulous as always. Easy application, and glorious shiftiness. Peace took three coats, but Abundance only needed two. 

Makeup Revolution also had nice application; it wasn't streaky or patchy, and both shades only needed two coats. They market these as duochromes, instead of multi, but even with that, I can't figure out the duo to the purple...it doesn't seem to shift that I can see, other than maybe shadows of slightly darker purple around the edges? 

In any case, the Makeup Revolution chromes are pretty, if you like the main color in the bottle, and the formula is nice, but don't buy them solely for the shift.

For both hands, I applied ILNP on thumb, middle, and pinky, and Revolution on ring and index. Thumb and ring then got one coat of Cupcake Polish's Frosting for the holo fun of it ✨

Purples: Revolution Evil Queen, ILNP Peace. Golds: Revolution Atlantis, ILNP Abundance (H). The colors aren't exactly the same, but they both have shades in common, so at least they coordinate a bit

Revolution gets a bit of a greenish shift around the edges, while ILNP shifts strongly from bronze to green to gold, with a touch of burgundy

ILNP shifts strongly from purple to blue, with a touch of dark wine, but I can't see a shift in this Revolution at all
