I highly recommend hopping over to YouTube and watching a video by SimplyNailogical titled "How to grow your nails fast! (Actually helpful information)". After trying probably a dozen different strengtheners over the years and being frustrated that nothing worked, I stumbled on that video and thought "may as well give it a shot"...and it has helped tremendously!
