Soliciting recommendations for my dude's new daytime & nighttime moisturizers. He has very acne prone and dry skin. His current routines (day and night are almost the same...very basic): Origins Checks and Balances Frothy Face Wash, retin-a acne treatment (perscription strength, night time only), FAB Ultra Repair Cream. I also got him Cerave Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30, but he doesn't like the feel of this on his skin so he rarely uses it. I'm looking to replace both day and night moisterizers for him, preferably the daytime with SPF (he's too lazy to add an additional step for SPF 🙄). What do you guys (dudes and dudettes, guys and gals, ladies and gents) suggest? I've been looking at reviews for the Jack Black as well as Kiehl's Facial Fuel lines but can't decide. I'm too far from retailers that have these items in stock and must order for delivery...so no chance in testing them out first. I'm thinking of also adding in Clinique's Moisture Surge Face Spray for him to use before moisturizer. Hoping to grab him the replacements and face spray while the sale is still going on...so any feedback is greatly appreciated!

@angelKiss24 I would switch out the cleanser. Spearmint and essential oil in it can worsen acne. I've seen reviews it has dried some users out. When I tried it, had irritation.

If he's on retinol, spf is a must.

With my retinol, I use La Roche Posay hydrating cleanser and double repair moisturizer. Moisturizer does have a spf version. Neither have caused acne nor dried me out.

If he likes FAB, First Aid Beauty Pure Skin Face Cleanser 5 oz/ 150 mL

Dermalogica hydrating booster, serum, under moisturizer will help. Retinol does cause dryness, so less often usage can help. Neutrogena hydrating booster, another option.

You want to stay away from most  actives with retinol.
