what kind of makeup should i go for?

I am sorry that I look so angry  But i have just started with makeup and honestly... i have no clue what I should go for? This picture is taken right before I left my home for work .... so yall cansee i am in a desperate need of something that can purify my looks and make me at least look attractive. Any advice on what would look good on me?

Do you have any features you want to highlight? I agree with the other commenters, your natural face has very clear skin and you have pretty features. There's no need to be down on yourself. I'd recommend something natural if you are new to makeup. Maybe a BB/CC cream as a good base and then figure out what type of look you like for yourself - a bold lip, a colorful eye look, popping blush, or maybe a bit of each? Maybe a Sephora Favorites set with a variety of products would help you decide what makeup you enjoy. Have a good day @Anonymous!

Your local Sephora might have come classes to teach you, or even a mini makeover service (usually 15 mins). That’s actually how I learned how to do a Smokey eye.. I went into my local store and the loveliest person working there showed me exactly how to do it on one eye, and then guided me as I did the same steps on my other eye @Anonymous

@lotus26782 First of all - you have absolutely gorgeous features, and it looks like a very clear and even complexion. The main foundation of any makeup and skincare routine should always be spf. I think you have beautiful skin, but if you want more coverage, go with something lightweight with SPF, like the Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35 Light/Neutralor CLINIQUE - Even Better Makeup SPF 15. You’re lucky to have nice thick brows, but a clear gel can help them stay in place, like the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel Flexible Medium-Hold Eyebrow Setter Clear. I live and breathe for highlighters, but if you’re just starting out with makeup, it’s probably not the most essential item to have (I feel the same about bronzer and blush). Definitely get a good mascara - it’ll open up your eyes SO much. I love the Too Faced Better Than Sex Volumizing & Lengthening Mascara Black, but if you’re unsure you can grab something like the SEPHORA FAVORITES - Lashstash To Go, which will let you test out a few and decide what you like best. I’m a lip product junkie, but when I started out with makeup, I was most attracted to glosses because it was more natural. I love the Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer Fenty Glow, Buxom Full-On™ Plumping Lip Cream Gloss Dolly, LAURA MERCIER - Lip Glacé. I don’t wear much eyeliner, but when I do it’s the KAT VON D - Tattoo Liner. If you want a bolder lip, try the BITE BEAUTY - Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick. They’re a comfortable, semi matte finish and come in a lot of nice colors. As for eyeshadow palettes, that is a Matter of preference because there are so many different color stories, but I have good luck with Too Faced palettes and Huda Beauty. You can get mini palettes from either of those brands (HUDA BEAUTY - Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette, TOO FACED - Tickled Peach Mini Eyeshadow Palette) that willl let you experiment. Hope this helps!

You've actually got a decent face to start with - large eyes, nice shaped mouth - so I would concentrate on base makeup first to even out your complexion. I haven't worn makeup for years, so I'm kind of relearning it all over again and oddly the most helpful beauty youtuber for me has been Hwan'e because he usually starts from skin care and concentrates on good base makeup. He published a video on the 8th of September called Daily Fall Makeup and I think it was so pretty. All his recent videos are subtitled in English and he does looks that work for any gender (I mean, just slap on some extra mascara and you're good to go).

I am open to whatever, natural makeup or bold. Anything that can make my ugly look a bit more beautiful
