upcycling/recycling empties

What do you all do with your empties? Does anyone have any cool ideas on how to reuse empties? Does anyone recycle them? I’d love to do something with mine other than just throw them away!

I know this is an old thread but you might want to check with local schools and community centers to see if they can make use of anything. For example, small empty jars from creams are actually a pretty awesome way to use and store small amounts of paint for art projects.

Would love to be able to bring them back to Sephora....feel so guilty throwing away a perfectly reusable compact or bottle.
