Wrapped 2023: Your Beauty Year in Review

Lots of places are doing their "year in review" (usually with music, but I've seen some others too!), so I thought it would be fun if we did a BIC Beauty Wrapped 😊 

I personally draw a lot of inspiration (and sometimes enabling) from the Community, and would love to see everyone's beauty wrapped! I've come up with a few categories, but feel free to add and skip over ones that don't apply to you!

BIC WRAPPED 2023 CATEGORIES:

• Your Top 3 Brands This Year (this can be divided into categories, like skincare, makeup, haircare and fragrance, or you can do an overall ranking!)
• Top 3 Most Used Product Types (mascara, fragrance, liquid blush, hair masks, etc)
• Top 3 Most Used Products
• Top 3 Most Repurchased Items
• Top "BIC Made Me Do It" Product
• Number of Empties (if you track that sort of thing!)

@itsfi it’s so fun to reflect on the past year! My favourite part of the end of year is seeing all the top hits, and remembering all kinds of things from earlier on that I totally forgot about 🥰

I love those year in review videos, blogs, and posts too @cianni‌‌ ❣️ I just realized that I haven't watched a YT video in at least a couple of months. I may have to get back to that when a few YT'ers I sometimes watch put out their best of 2023 lists. Though I'm more interested in what the beauties here on BIC share about their top 2023 picks.

@itsfi Oohhh yes, I love YT in January. Something about the declutters are is so satisfying! I use them as inspo to jump start a low buy/pan project/decluttering my own collection (not that I’ve ever been amazing at that LOL)😍

Yes, yes, yes @cianni! I feel like with low buy/pan project/decluttering, we just have to do what works for us - there's not one size fits all. Baby steps. I'm hoping to finalize my low buy / no buy categories by the end of the week. I have found that for myself, I do better when I identify the types of products that fall within my no buy, as opposed to doing it across the board. Or, to make a list of specific things I can pick up over the low/no buy period. Ahhh, decluttering. I'm going to try my hand at doing it quarterly. I didn't do very well with that this year, but am going to give it another go. Speaking of project pan, I do need to firm that up, but I may wait until after the unboxing since my project pan items have, in the past, included some products received as gratis.

@itsfi I’ve gotten so much better with my project planning over time… the first few were, ambitious, to say the least! 

I like your category idea - I may have to borrow that for this upcoming year. I find when I try to implement a global low/no buy, I end up treating it like a cheat day… “well, I needed a new brow pencil, so I’m already here buying something necessary….. and I don’t already own this exact blush shade so technically I can buy that too? Oh, and that new palette because it matches the blush and the color story is different than what I have in my collection….”

I’m following the unboxing thread, so I’m excited to see what ends up in your project! I have a few products in mind for mine that I’ve had for a while but couldn’t use while pregnant!

Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Face 1.0 All Over Complexion Brush - For Foundation, Blush, Bronzer & P... and liner.  Great stuff!  Ami Colé brush is also great.  Dense and easy to use.

SEPHORA COLLECTION PRO Foundation Brush #64 .  During the Cheek Challenge Summer 2023: Collabs with Makeup Challenge of the Week
