The Color IQ skin tone scan or online Shade Finder can be helpful - there are times when they've been spot on and other times, not as close. Sometimes, the best matches I've found have come from the Community. Please share the foundations and concealer shades that work well for you.
Thank you @itsfi . Then One/Size foundation works to blur my pores and scars pretty well. Even if I have not used an exceptional, it works. And you don’t need much of it. But, I have oily skin, even though it’s getting more dry in some areas. This foundation on me needs a matify primer. And powder after. But it looks good afterwards.
thanks for the tag @itsfi ! Here are some of my matched shades for my light-medium, neutral skin! Depends on the time of year, but when im most tanned I hardly wear foundation, so these are pretty safe for most of the year. I have sensitive combo skin, with a drier under-eye area, and a tendency to get a little shiny on my nose, chin and forehead.
[Note - for some reason, so many others are alluding me right now. Ill update this post when I confirm some of the shade and product names for some im not able to tag, and drugstore as well]
Those are great foundations @cianni! 💯 understand how there’s a need to update with more foundations and concealer. I’m seeing people’s lists and thinking “I have that one too”. 😂
Hello BIC 👋
I have a question, does anyone around my shade range (a "safe" light neutral) have in their collection the Givenchy Prisme Libre Illuminating & Color Correcting Loose Powder ?
I'm debating between 2 or 3.. suggestions? @itsfi ???
@jaaayp I would recommend shade 3. I am light nuetral as well and tired both and returned 2 bc 3 worked much better for me. I hope this helps!
It definitely does @BluePaisley thank yooou 🤩🤩🤩
@jaaayp, I have mini's of both Givenchy Mini Prisme Libre Loose Setting and Finishing Powder 2 Satin Blanc and Givenchy Mini Prisme Libre Illuminating & Color Correcting Loose Powder 03 Voile Rose. I've only used them a few times, and both have worked - #3 is more an all year shade for me. #2 works better winter to early spring.
If I'm remembering right, @Mellmars1185 wears 3 Voile Rose - is that right, mellmars1185? Also, how would you describe your skintone? Light neutral?
I *think* @missjeanie wears that shade (3 Voile) as well (?) but missjeanie is more fair than our light neutral.
@Mellmars1185 @itsfi Sounds like I need to try shade 2 as well!!
@missjeanie I think you might like it!
Thank you ladies @Mellmars1185 @itsfi 🥰 this is sooo helpful. I'm definitely adding #3 in my bag! Teehee!
Yaaaay! We're definitely all about enabling being helpful @jaaayp. 😉😆 I think @Mellmars1185 has even finished a jar and is repurchsing another one - I mean, if that's not a ringing endorsement ...
@jaaayp I’m light neutral and used Givenchy Prisme Libre Illuminating & Color Correcting Loose Powder 03 Voile Rose
Thank you @SportyGirly125 ! Awesome 👌 I am definitely adding #3 to my bag rn! ❤️
I can never trust shade finder ;-;
On of my favorite concealers is Tower 28. I have the shade BH, which is the lightest shade! 😭
It works so good for me, but I am almost out so I went to Sephora and they didn’t have it, like I didn’t even see it on display. I asked an employee and she said that shade is so unpopular they rarely have it/have it on display. I tried the next shade up and it’s so orange, I’m sad 😭😂
Oh no @ChickenGurlie. I see the concealer Tower 28 Beauty Swipe All-Over Hydrating Serum Concealer 1.0 BH is available online. Is that an option for you?
@itsfi Yes that is an option for me! Ngl I kinda forgot about that, and now I feel dumbfounded haha.
@ChickenGurlie, I’m super happy that your shade is available online and that you can get your hands on it. 🛍️ Do you use the concealer as a traditional concealer or also as foundation?
Depends on the day! Some days when I want a very light coverage I just use it under my eyes, on my nose redness, and across any zits or blemishes I might have that day. Some days though I will apply a bit more and use it light a light coverage foundation. Mostly use it as concealer though, as I don’t really like having a lot of makeup on my face 🙂
I keep forgetting to do @itsfi, so sorry! 😂
