Setting spray vs Finishing spray?

1) What is the difference between setting and finishing spray? 2) When would you use one vs the other? 3) Can you use both sprays while doing your makeup? I have both types of sprays in my arsenal, but am slightly confused what the benefits are of each one. Thanks for any help in advance!❤️ Sue

@norgegirlot Exactly how @cianni explained it.  Yes, you can use a setting spray and finishing spray when doing your makeup.  I do it almost everyday depending on my skin and makeup.  I use a OMOROVICZA - Magic Moisture Mist to prep my face and Morphe setting spray to lock in my makeup.

Hey girl @norgegirlot! I was a bit confused too at first about the differences between the two! I had done some research on setting vs finishing powders and have applied the same logic to sprays. Basically a setting spray is to make your makeup stay in place (like hairspray for your face haha). Finishing spray is more to add something to your look, like a bit of extra Dewiness or hydration. In a pinch they can be interchangeable, but the ingredients will be a little different because their purpose isn’t exactly the same. You can definitely use both, just like you can use both a setting and finishing powder. So, if I'm understanding this right, would you use the finishing spray first and the setting spray as the last step? The finishing spray can be used throughout the makeup application while the finishing would meld everything together...correct?!

@norgegirlot You can use the finishing spray before makeup application, during and after if you really wanted.  It just depends on how you want to incorporate it into your makeup routine.  You have to find what works for you.  The setting spray is usually the last step.

@norgegirlot The finishing spray is usually used for hydration, so you can use it throughout the routine as needed. Sometimes I use a touch if my face is looking dry as I’m using products. Setting spray is strictly the last step to make everything stay in place. To use the example of hair, finishing spray is kind of like a styling product. You use what you need when you need it (wet hair, dry hair etc). Setting spray is like the hairspray. You use it to “freeze” your look at the very end. Hope this is clearer!!❤️
