Patch of skin that will not absorb makeup

I have a small patch of skin on my left cheek right where the contour line is that will not absorb contour or foundation. It's not a dry patch either and I have tried exfoliating it and tried using  moisturizer  and primer underneath before I apply. Does anyone have this problem and how did you fix it? Please help!!

@lglisa1982 -- I have a spot on my right eyelid that doesn't take shadow well. It's always been lots of work to get color to stay there. Different methods for different shadows, for that.

@lglisa1982 I have this problem except on my nose, foundation literally doesn’t stick and it’s so frustrating! What I found that helps is setting my primer with a bit of setting powder prior to applying foundation. It’s a weird concept but I just take a super small amount of setting powder on a big fluffy brush and lightly dust it over my nose and my foundation sticks much better!
