New to all of this

Hi so I want to get into makeup and just learn about it, I wanted to start as a clean makeup look but I have no idea how to start and how to even find my skin tone.

Need all the advice!

Re: New to all of this

@Curlyhair8568  I second @SportyGirly125 's advice to get shade matched in store at Sephora (or another beauty counter) if you can! It's super easy to have it done and can be very helpful if you aren't sure of your skin tone/shade. I also agree that tutorials can be a lifesaver, especially when you're first starting out. I recommend looking up tutorials on YouTube or the like for the kind of makeup styles you'd like to do - for example, you might want to try searching "clean makeup look tutorials for beginners" or something similar to get started.

It may seem intimidating how much there is to learn when you're just starting out, but that's okay! Just take it slow, be patient with yourself and keep practicing. You're in the right place to ask questions and learn. I've learned so much from the lovely folks in this community since I started posting here! Everyone here is super supportive and helpful, so don't be afraid to ask questions!

Good luck! 💜

@Curlyhair8568 Can you go to a beauty counter for a shade match?

If you haven’t already done so, I highly recommend watching YouTube videos or attending a hands on class.

I would also start with what features you want to focus on? Eyes, cheeks, lips, brows?  Start small and build.
