March has made its way to us, and to celebrate, we’re breaking out the beauty brackets for our second annual Makeup Madness Challenge in the BIC! For the next few weeks, eight popular makeup categories will go head-to-head in a showdown to snag the title of 2022 Community Champion makeup category. It’s up to YOU to vote on the winner … and share some tried-and-true beauty recs along the way (because why not?!). 😉

We kicked off round 1 with a matchup that sparked serious passion last year: lipstick vs. mascara. 🔥 Mascara ended up taking the crown in 2021, but who knows what will happen this year… especially since we’ll be adding new makeup categories to the mix in future rounds. 😏 Stay tuned!

This is a tough one for me as both are essentials in my daily makeup routine but if I had to choose one, I have to go with mascara. I can always use a pigmented gloss or a balm to liven up the lips but my lashes cannot go naked. 😛

I've been using the MILK MAKEUP Mini KUSH High Volumizing Mascara 0.13 oz/ 4 mL for a while now as my usual go-to but I dabble in mascaras quite a bit 🙂

This product is absolutely amazing!  It looks like I don't have any eyelashes when I don't wear mascara, even though my lashes are fairly long.  But a coat of this mascara - WOW!  I use a primer and then two light coats of mascara.  😊

A few years ago I would've been team lipstick all the way, but I'm more of a balm/gloss person these days! I'll vote mascara - Benefit Cosmetics They're Real! Lengthening Mascara Black is my tried and true. 🙂
