I never really liked the Beauty Blender or any other sponges because they waste too much products.

Since i tried the Elf brushes, i never went back to anything else.

I personally like elf's sponge.  I use it for highlighter.  $5 is a steal.

If you like a dense brush, the SEPHORA COLLECTION Makeup Match Full Coverage Foundation Brush,

it's affordable and great for stippling in foundation.  Note: there are some reviews where it has shed, so far, I'm okay with mine.  Haven't deep cleaned it yet, but so far so good.

@abbiewakelam What’s your budget? Beauty blender is great because it lasts for months or you can use wedge sponges.

I use the buffing brush from the SEPHORA COLLECTION Ready To Roll Brush Set and the Beautyblender ORIGINAL Beautyblender Makeup Sponge Original.

Kabuki brushes are also great if you're using liquid foundation.
