Foundation advice for a girl going to prom!!!

Hi!!!

Im a junior in highschool, and this year, ill be going to prom for the first time! I recently moved to the states, and back home we had nothing quite like prom culture here in America.

i love makeup with all I have, even though I only stated just two years ago. I need some advice on a long wearing, (ideally) satin finish, water based foundation.

i am inbetween the pat magrath skin fetish foundation and the nars light reflecting advanced skin care foundation.

prom szn is in the spring, but I am asking now so I can start saving up!

ideally this can be something I can wear during special occasions in the future— and i dont mind if you guys have other recs as well!

tysm! I cant believe i made my first post ahhhh

Re: Foundation advice for a girl going to prom!!!

@minbinblooms Ooo the pat magrath one is really good for long-wear. Its also really thin, so you can either get a natural look or build up the coverage if you’d like. I think you should get a sample of it first so that way you can test how well it sits on your skin and maybe do your own wear test since what works for others may not always work for you.
But i think that’s a good choice!

There are so many choices out there! I personally love the Mac powder foundation for my T zone and find it lasts 6-8 hours.I have tried Pat McGrath and it does not suit me.

Hope this helps you in your search.
