OUAI - Volume Spray will be a repurchase, I have a new FS Aveda Volumizing Hair Tonic, which I find to cause more frizz than volume. This gives my roots some life without making me look totally unkempt.
The Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz® Ultra-Slim Precision Eyebrow Pencil Taupe is the gold standard for me, love the consistency - it’s perfect without pulling my eyebrows out. Plus it looks so natural.
Brow Gal , love the wand on this its very narrow and just the right length. But the actual product tended to deposit in one spot and so I would have to work it in. A little dry as well, but there is potential here. I am thinking the organization that accepts mascara wands to brush animals would love this one.
The Love Beauty & Planet Turmeric and Tonka Essence Conditioner has a gorgeous scent, but somehow doesn’t give my hair the moisture it needs. My daughter loved it, though.
Algenist GENIUS Sleeping Collagen Moisturizer 2 oz/ 60 mL is a beautiful night cream that my skin loves. Never wake up with dry cheeks when I use this. I picked up a few of the Play boxes after trying it and seeing the price 😄
The Fresh Currant Trader Joe’s candle, I wish they sold this year round. A fresh, rich berry scent, yum!
The Ole Henriksen Instant Transformation Lemon Peel was decent. The scent was a bit plastic-like which is a huge turn off for me. It worked reasonably well, but I wouldn’t repurchase as there are a ton of peels I still want to try.
The YSL Volupté Liquid Color Balm sample was at least a year sitting in my stash. I finally tried it, loved it. Hey, it was on sale, awesome! Bought one, and found out it was discontinued. The scent on these, SO delicious, like watermelon candy. At least I was able to buy one. Also reminds me how much I love YSL’s lip products. The Rouge Pur Couture lipstick was one of my first grown up lipsticks and I still like to buy one for a special occasion.
Pacifica Rose Water wipes - good, they work decent.
KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 - Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate 12.5% Vitamin C - LOVE the texture of this Vitamin C product. I am not sure what it is supposed to be - a serum? It reminds me of one of the steps in the OH Powerbright 3 Step treatment. Smooth and mattifying, with a pleasant citrusy kick. I could see this as a future purchase.
Moschino Pink Fresh Couture - I haven’t met a Moschino perfume I dislike; all are enjoyable to wear for me (not a big florals fan). It is fresh, not powdery at all - and something I would wear again.
Trader Joe’s Cranberry Spice Shower Gel - this was part of the advent calendar. Reminiscent of mulled wine, nice but a little to gel like - I prefer a thinner shower gel.
Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum - the scent on this is pretty amazing. I would wear it as a perfume. Never broke out, absorbed and left my skin intently hydrated. As a serum, I find it a bit heavy oil-wise. But as a last step after moisturizer, I loved it. Thankfully, not enough to want to buy it, though 😄
The INKEY List Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Hydrating Face Serum 1 oz/ 30 mL - I had a backup already, as I love this for lazy days and also because it’s so inexpensive. An easy buy.
Moroccanoil Moroccanoil Treatment Hair Oil 1.7 oz/ 50 mL - the reason I bought the first Play! box that included the Algenist above. This is my second bottle, and I have one more to go before I will repurchase. The spicy scent is a great way to condition my hair when I am too lazy for a hair mask.
de Mamiel Restorative Cleansing Balm - another absolutely richly scented product, another very pricey one that I’m thankful wasn’t a 100% hit for me. It left too much of an oily film on my skin, making it difficult to remove.
Volition Strawberry C Serum the brand isn’t coming up when I try to tag? - A good serum, although I can’t say I saw a huge difference after using it. I’ve tried both this and the Snow Mushroom serum of theirs, and it just wasn’t overwhelming. Love the Illuminizing Sunscreen, though!
REN Clean Skincare Keep Young And Beautiful™ Instant Firming Beauty Shot 1.02 oz/ 30 mL now this makes for a great serum. Like the Inkey List but thinner. Absorbs nicely and layered well with many other products.
First Aid Beauty Eye Duty Triple Remedy A.M. Gel Cream 0.5 oz/ 15 mL - A good eye gel, not amazing, but didn’t bother my eyes and did the job. Currently working through a few other eye creams/gels, so wouldn’t buy this now but I wouldn’t be opposed to it in the future.
June Jacobs Cranberry Pomegranate Moisture Mask - love this thick moisturizing cream mask, the scent is fruity and just right for when I’m up for a fragranced mask.
Ralph Lauren Romance , pretty but way too floral/sweet for me.
DERMADoctor Lucky Bamboo Jukyeom 9x Water Gel - this is supposed to help plump the skin from what I can understand; pleasant to use, like a thick essence but not quite a serum. Would love to try this in a DS.
Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir - loved how this made my lashes look, but by mid-day one weekend my husband asked what was wrong with my eyes, and I didn’t have to look in the mirror to know. It ran overtime I wore it, which was a bummer because I like the brush on this one.
Aveda Control Force Firm Hold Hair Spray - I like this, it’s a pretty strong hold but my hair hold needs are low so I don’t use it enough to justify a FS. This took me a couple of years to finish, and I have one more to go.
Hum Glow Sweet Glow Skin Gummy Vitamins - sure, I will take a daily vitamin that is this delicious! The little tangerine hearts are quite tasty:) As far as ‘glow’ - I don’t know. I’d like to try the Collagen Pop to see if I notice any difference.
Briogeo Farewell Frizz - this was ok, didn’t work as well as the Bumble and Bumble for me.
Peter Thomas Roth Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel Mask 5 oz - this was from a gratis I received last year, I kept it chilled and it was an enjoyable mask to use. I didn’t notice a major difference in my skin after using it, so I wouldn’t buy a FS, but it’s pleasant enough to use again.
KIEHL'S SINCE 1851 - Ginger Leaf & Hibiscus Firming Mask - not a big fan of this one. It sat and sat in my fridge until finally I started using it up as a foot cream. My feet have never been softer, it was a amazing 😄
Farmacy Lip Bloom - Strawberry and Basil - Loved at first but a challenge to wear at night, didn’t like how my lips felt in the morning. I have another I am finishing, hopefully this month. Also works on elbows.
Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil - a very pleasant product with just enough rose scent. I have a few body oils I need to get through and I don’t use them often, so this was a feat for me.
Jouer Essential Lip Enhancer Conditioning Lip Treatment - this is decent but felt ever so slightly gritty and didn’t last on me.
No7 Laboratories Booster Serum - didn’t notice a difference with or without. Still, I enjoy adding a layer of hydration to my skin, so I finished it.
Declutters:
Sara Happ The Lip Scrub Confetti Cake and Lemonade . The exfoliating grains completely separated from the balm in both of these. I de-potted the tube of Confetti Cake in the hopes that I could use it, but the balm/gloss rose to the top and the scrubbies are all clumped together, refusing to budge. It’s such a bummer because these are both almost completely full, but they just sit because it’s too much of a hassle to use them. The potted exfoliating lip products they sell seem to have a much better consistency.
Tarte Lip Sculptor - I haven’t worn this in at least a year, it’s nice but don’t want to hold on to things I don’t use.
Versace Eros Flame - I had to look this up to see if it is men’s cologne. Not a scent for me.
