November 2019 Empties

CeraVe PM - I enjoy this moisturizer and especially it's price tag. I'm still getting use to it being a thinner formula and want to try the CeraVe Baby Moisturizer again since both have the ceramides and niacinamide ingredients I want. I have another bottle (2 oz) since my CVS has that size apparently which I'll probably use up this month or early January. Most likely I'll buy it again.

DEVACURL - One Condition Delight Weightless Waves Conditioner - this is a fine conditioner. I prefer the One Condition Original. The delight didn't give me any additional bounce to my hair. I did have a few good days of just leaving in some conditioner and not using styling product with it but again, the Original I think works better for me.

Garnier Micellar Water - I like this as a verification that my makeup or sunscreen is off. If I'd use only micellar water to remove then I think I would be too rough on my face but I enjoy this as a final check before a gentle cleanse.

Holika Holika Lazy & Easy All Kill Cleanser - Eh, it was okay. It left my face a little tight. It didn't defeat my tinted sunscreen. I'm still on the search for something awesome. Spoiler - the super deal Erno Laszlo cleanser I picked up at Marshalls isn't cutting the mustard either. What does cutting the mustard mean..where did that phrase start?

Schmidt's Ylang-Ylang & Calendula - thanks to @lmaster for sending this my way! Best natural deodorant I've tried. I'm not sure I'll repurchase the same scent so that's why it's the tilted thumbs up. I'm excited to smell the other kinds and try it again. And there was a coupon in my newspaper for it - boom!

BELIF - Hungarian Water Essence - this sample lasted me five uses which was nice. I just can't get behind the belif scent. The fragrance and extract components are too much for me. The essence seemed fine but with only 5 uses, what could I truly tell. Nothing bad happened which is always good though. I finished some other belif samples at the beginning of December but have similar thoughts because of the scent.

Honest Company Face+Body Lotion - brought it on my work trip along with some other hotel size lotions and finished it this month. It was a normal lotion and I wouldn't go out of my way to find it.

DEVACURL - WAVE MAKER™ Touchable Texture Whip - In my top 3 devacurl stylers (b'leave-in is my favorite refresh product and this and supercream are my two wash day faves). Thanks to @eshoe for sending this sample to me. I've currently put my sample packs from @faeriegirl in a travel size bottle and am using them now. The thoughtfulness of both of these ladies makes me feel all giddy inside. 🙂

Neutrogena Makeup Wipes - Night Calming - yeah, I'm trying not to and never really was a huge makeup wipe user. I am too rough on my skin with wipes and know it. I used these up on my work trip but have been occasionally using some other wipes I have to get them out of my "collection." Hoping to go with more reusable options in 2020 or find a remove-it-all oil cleanser.

bareMinerals Original Mineral Veil Talc-Free Loose Setting Powder Illuminating Mineral Veil- this gives me a nice diffused look. I have used it mostly with bare minerals original foundation but have used it with other products as well. Nice empties @ShortErica!! I use micellar water as the final step in my makeup removal process. I definitely cannot rely on micellar water to take off all my makeup on its own.

Exactly @sephoraaddict918! Some oil cleansers I've used have left too much work for the micellar water at the end which isn't cool. What are some of your earlier steps and products?

@ShortErica At the moment, I'm using either the BareMinerals Cleansing Oil and following it with the TARTE - Micellar Magic Makeup Remover & Cleanser or the No. 7 Cleansing Balm following the same Garnier Micellar Water in your empties photo. Lately, I've been trying different oils/balms, but the Garnier has been the only micellar water I've been using. The Tarte is my first attempt at trying something different.

I haven't found a balm/oil that has been able to take off all of my makeup. I envy anyone who can get all their makeup off with just a small amount of a cleansing oil/balm. For me, I need a good amount of oil/balm, and I have to follow that with the micellar water to make sure most of the junk is off before going in with a regular cleanser.

I keep hoping for a wonderful oil/balm that removes mostly everything but haven't found one either @sephoraaddict918. I really don't wear much makeup and I slowly remove mascara with a makeup eraser so it only needs to remove light foundation and I haven't found a winner yet. Probably I need to use more oil too but then it seems so expensive. Thanks for sharing what you've been using with me!

What are your favorite tinted moisturizers @emaisgr8 For a while I was into trying tinted moisturizers but never found a "me" one. Lots were a bit dewy or too dark.

@ShortErica oh yes they have many different scents, glad to see it was a better natural deodorant. If you get a different scent, I'd love to know what you end up choosing 😊

My empties for the last 3 months 🤔. Couple disclaimers: the 2 full-size TF lippies turned rancid, TF brow palette and Guerlain bronzer developed hard pan, the Rodial mascara (not sure where I got it from) has disintegrated wand (so I never got to try it 🤣) Everything else are pretty much used up or closed to it. How long did it take for the TF lipsticks to turn rancid? I got a full size pink dusk in 2018 and have barely used it as it turned out to look garish on my olive undertones but I should try layering it as it's such a waste!

@xcicee I don’t remember exactly when I got it but pretty sure I got it from Neiman Marcus. The two in the picture there are Casablanca and Pink Dusk. I don’t like neither color so I rarely touch them. But I would say probably was at least more than 2 yrs for me. I have 50-70 Tom Ford lipsticks and these are a few that turned on me. One note though I don’t collect nude. I normally buy red, pink and berry colors. Those seems fine.

That's so funny, I also got my Pink Dusk at neiman's. I just checked and I bought mine in July '17 so just over 2 years for me now, I better start using it while I can 🙂

@xcicee Good idea😘 The 2 I’m worrying about turn soon are Misbehave and Julian. I love love Misbehaves so most likely I will finish it. It’s strange since Misbehaves is a coral red. I have tons of pinks and those are still good as the day I bought them 😂🤪
