Seeing product empties is so satisfying 🙂
Post your weekly, monthly, quarterly, whenever-ly empties and let us know how you felt about them!
Previous Empties thread:
Using it as a serum seems to get the best out of the product; that seems be the consensus among many folks here @keana1. I’ll give it a try with my mini’s of the mask.
@itsfi Nice set of empties! This reminds me that I planned to give F-Balm a second chance once temps warm up, because it was ineffective during winter. I’ll pull it out again soon.
Ooooh @WinglessOne, please keep us posted on how that second chance goes. Hopefully it will perform better for you in warmer weather.
@itsfi I totally agree about the DE fbalm. It is nice but it is definitely not a stand out product.
@faeriegirl, I kept thinking “am I missing something?” after I used it.
The Drunk Elephant F-Balm™ Electrolyte Waterfacial Mask 1.69 oz/ 50 mL is such a strange product to me. I just find many flaws with it. I find a lot of air bubbles for an airless dispenser, it seems I have to continuously pump to get product out. The formula doesn’t really hydrate like a moisturizer more like a light weight serum, I think had they marketed it that way instead of a mask it might have gone over better.
Yes, yes and yes @GG84! I agree 100% with everything you said. 👊🏼 I’ll try it as a serum another day with Protini and later in the year with Lala.
@itsfi Wow! Nice job with empties!! Glad you liked the lotion and Sulwhasoo! .... and are those We Bare Bear wipes?! Oh my gosh, that's super cute! 😍
@Shosh85, the Sulwhasoo samples you gifted me were amazing, especially the cream (I used those up last month). 🥰 Thank you! ♥️ I don’t typically use wipes for cleansing my face, mainly my hands after I’m blending colors, etc, so I don’t usually purchase a lot of wipes. I spied these We Bare Bear 🐻 ones when I was standing in line (a while back) and, as I’m sure you can imagine, they somehow ended in my shopping basket. 😉🤷🏻♀️ Hahaha! 😂 Anyhow, it made me smile to see the packaging every morning. 😃
Thank you @lmaster! 🤗 I did some spring cleaning and found more products that I haven’t used up. Some I tossed but didn’t include in my empties count and others are set aside to be used up this year!
I think I may have overhyped the DE waterfacial mask for myself based on my excitement for a DE mask and my love for many of their other skincare products. It’s not a bad mask at all, and I know it’s a love for others; just not for me. It probably could have easily been added to the “like” group. I have a couple of deluxe samples of the F-balm mask and plan to save it for the fall/winter to see whether that’s a better fit and I’ll also give it a shot as an in flight ✈️ mask the next time I fly.
@itsfi I use it kinda like a serum, I apply it before moisturizer and it's been really good that way
That’s a great idea @lmaster! 💕 I can see that working out well. Is the DE a product you woulda repurchase?
As a matter of fact @itsfi I was debating between repurchasing this or Drunk Elephant B-Hydra™ Intensive Hydration Serum with Hyaluronic Acid 1.69 oz/ 50 mLand since I have not used all of the fbalm I went for the b Hydra that I'm completely out of
Thanks for the reminder that I enjoy those Jelly Pack masks @itsfi ! Looks like you finished off the F balm from DE pretty quickly, or is time just getting away from me? Is it a re-purchase?
That’s so funny you say that @missjeanie; I felt like it took forever (I picked it up when it first launched at the beginning of January so 4 full months) to get through the Drunk Elephant mask - there’s a lot of product in that container, which is great bang for the buck but it made me think it was automatically refilling itself. Hahaha! 😆 I don’t think I’d repurchase. I use it primarily as an overnight mask or daytime moisturizer and to say I have plenty of those on hand already is a bit of an understatement. 😉
Time has certainly been warped for me on this one @itsfi ! I understand completely about not repurchasing. I'm thinking I'll snag a little or a sample at some point but for some reason this one just doesn't have me drawn in to make a purchase.
My January empties...
My thoughts on the foils and DS products can be found on the Use Your Foil Samples Challenge 2019 - https://community.sephora.com/t5/Beauty-Confidential/Use-Your-Foil-Samples-Challenge-2019/m-p/448190...#M347050.
Love
Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micellar Water – LOVE this stuff! In years past, I tried different micellar waters but I always come back to this one. Now, I don’t even bother trying out the new ones. This is THE ONE. ❤️
Like
First Aid Beauty Radiance Peel Pads – these are gentle enough to use every day. They’re also a great way to introduce chemical exfoliants into your skincare routine or for days when my skin is particular sensitive and I want to use a chemical exfoliant but don’t want to overdo it with my skin.
Neogen Demalogy Green Tea Real Fresh Foam Cleanser – I’m on a search for a favorite second cleanser and this one is definitely in the running. I haven’t repurchased … yet, since I’m testing out other cleansers but this one is pretty good and I will likely pick up another one (my second!) during the spring sale. It foams up but it doesn’t strip my skin; I can use this cleanser year-round but I think it works best in the spring, summer and early fall seasons.
Ole Henriksen Discover the Truth 3-in-1 Melting Cleanser – this cleanser seems to have been discontinued which is shame because it did a nice job of cleansing the skin and it was one of those cleansers you could use as a first or second cleanser, or both.
Maybe
Blithe Velvet Yam Pressed Serum – this is a serum-moisturizer in one and it’s not bad, but I prefer the Chaga Tundra version from the same brand.
Love, Beauty & Planet Coconut Water & Mimosa Flower Body Wash – I like that it’s a vegan and cruelty-free brand. This is a fine shower gel, with a subtle fresh-floral scent to it. I’m on a low buy and looking to use the products I have so I won’t be repurchasing this one anytime soon, but if I were running low on body wash, I wouldn’t hesitate repurchasing this one or picking up another body wash from this line.
Meh
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair BarriAir Cream – this has an interesting texture to it; like a slightly viscous gel cream. It’s a fine moisturizer and I can make it work for me by layering hydrating essences and serums underneath the FAB product, but I don’t think it’s well suited for someone with dry or dehydrated skin. I can see this cream working out really well for those with normal or combination skin types.
Thank you @curlychiquita; I'm trying to use what I have before opening up new products.
