Diorshow Blackout alternative

So now that my BELOVED Diorshow Blackout is discontinued (anyone know the reasoning?) what are you all using as a replacement? Diorshow is a joke. It flakes all over the place and is definitely not similar. I liked the "wet" or maybe even oily (? for lack of a better word) formula. I felt like that's what kept the product as dark as it was. Yeah sometimes it left dots on my upper eyelids in 100 degree weather when steam rose from behind my sunglasses, but it was a small price to pay for perfection in my mind. I would love recs from other experts! I also get frustrated by nearly all mascara samples because they all seem dry. Is it just me? It's been many, many years since I've shopped mascara so maybe I just have a bitter, bad attitude and won't ever be happy. TIA!

I totally agree... I wonder why they discontinue something as popular and good.

I also feel like the samples are always dry and you cannot have a good idea about the product.

I even called Dior customer service and they had no clue about the product missing.

it's a shame, hope they bring it back. (I used it since it was launched ... )

The closest I have found to the type of wet formula and DEEP black tone is Tarte Lash Paint or Eyeko Rock Out and Lash Out. 

The only thing no one else has done is find a way to have these 'wet' mascaras that still hold a curl, too.

I want this mascara back!!!!!! Also want Dior flash foundation back. Why are they discontinuing such popular products!!!

I am struggling with the same thing— Dior blackout was my life!! I’ve spent a few hundred dollars so far on new mascaras and nothing compares. 

YSL lash clash was not it for me. Formula felt super dry. The best I’ve found so far which is still the HG is Lancôme Monsieur big volume. 

unfortunately almost every mascara I’ve tried seems so dry compared to blackout. I have been writing Dior asking for them to release it again 🤣

@jhdly I’ve seen people swear by the DIOR Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara 090 Black  😂 (i also saw a person say that they use it in replace of the diorshow blackout) but i’ve also seen good things about the Yves Saint Laurent Lash Clash Extreme Volume Mascara  as well.

any chance finding a replacement since your post? i just found out its discontinued (i just finished my last tube) and im in panic mode 😅
