The perfect red!

Hello there my lippie enthusiasts! I'm trying to find the perfect red❤️ Something creamy because my lips dry out fast and a warmer tone or an orangish red. Something bright and playful like the one here! Any suggestions???

I recommend looking into a blue red because it's a universal shade that works with all skin tones and it actually makes your teeth look whiter. I've been using the BareMinerals Gen Nude Lipstick in Naughty for years. It's a brick red that looks great on everyone. I hope this helps!

You might like Pat McGrath MatteTrance in Elson 2, which is a warmer red. I very recently decluttered NARS Rita for performance issues: it’s not nearly as creamy comfy as all my other Audacious bullets, and I’m pretty sure there’s a warmer red Audacious shade than Rita. The ColourPop Lux Matte formula is creamier and more comfy than Urban Decay’s Comfort Matte formula. I didn’t swatch any Guerlain Rouge G shades, but those are super emollient; let’s see if I can tag my red shade:  GUERLAIN Rouge G Refillable Lipstick N°214

One of my absolute favorite warm reds by anyone is Pat McGrath’s McGrath Muse. Not only do I love that shade, I prefer the LuxeTrance formula over the MatteTrances—though I do like the MatteTrances and don’t find them to be very drying. (For reference, I’m a woman who finds the vast majority of liquid matte formulas to be too drying, even with a base coat of balm and lip primer.) 

If you’re open to glosses, I’ll recommend LANCôME - L'Absolu Lacquer  in Be Happy, a shade Sephora doesn’t currently sell but can be found elsewhere. It’s a beautiful orange-leaning red, in my favorite gloss formula: the L’Absolu Lacquers are buildable (1 coat is sheer, 3 coats is opaque), super glossy, very comfy to wear, the least sticky glosses I’ve ever tried, and long lasting—I’ve had some of these shades last a solid 6 hours, destroyed only by greasy/oily meals. Be Happy is one of my favorite shades.

Also, MAC Lady Danger, though not as creamy as the Givenchy.

Shiseido VisionAiry Gel Lipstick Night Rose has some warm reds, too. I haven't tried the reds (I've just swatched them), but I have a few of the other colors in this formula, which I love.
