Sephora lip stain

I really like the Sephora lip stain, especially all of the colors; but it does not stay on me for very long.  I top it off with a gloss and I am wondering if this is the problem.  Any ideas for making it last.

@deb4 you can try putting a tissue over your lips after you apply the lip stain and pat powder over your lips to help it stay longer. Also, it could be the lipgloss that is preventing it from lasting longer.
