Pillow Talk - nude pink

Hi! I am happy that Pillow Talk (a classic Lipstick) โ€“ Nude Pink suits me perfectly. I never wear lipstick and it's a new habit for me. Anyway, I have a few questions about this.
Since it's matte, do you think that's why it looks a bit grainy after it ยซ dries ยป or is it because I'm using it too thick?
Also, is matte texture still trendy? For the holidays, should I get a lip gloss to go with it?
lots of questions, I know!

Hi, @K4t4 !  I agree with @JoSometimes .  I think a lip scrub will help.  fresh Sugar Lip Polish Exfoliator . Then I use LAWLESS Forget the Filler Lip-Plumping Line-Smoothing Tinted Lip Balm  under my lipstick.  After putting on my lipstick, I blot, then I put a dot of lip gloss in the center of my lower lip and purse my lips so I have a subtle bit of shine--not too matte, not too shiny.

@K4t4 Try exfoliating your lips with a lip scrub. You might just be seeing some texture from flakey skin. You can try something like SEPHORA COLLECTION Moisturizing Lip Balm  #. Moisturizing them before applying a matte lip can also help with smooth application. Sometimes Iโ€™ll use a lip mask and let it sit before applying whatever lip product Iโ€™m using that day.

When it comes to matte vs gloss, I say itโ€™s just preference. I prefer a bit of gloss but thatโ€™s me. If you decided to add a gloss, try it out first before the big day. Sometimes glosses can make the lippie underneath start to bleed into lip lines.
