Long lasting lipstick

I’m looking for a long lasting lipstick that I don’t need to retouch very often. Any ideas?

Re: Long lasting lipstick

You can never go wrong with the Sephora Collection liquid lipsticks! There are soooo many beautiful shades and when I wear them I only need to touch up once or twice a day. The KVD everlasting liquid lipsticks are also crazy long lasting but they are a bit more expensive than the Sephora ones. Good luck!

RE: Long lasting lipstick

My faves are Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick and Kat Von D Everlasting Lipstick

My all time fav is Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick💋

Hi @Joanna101

I’ve had really good experiences with Besame’s lipsticks. The availability online at Sephora isn’t great at the moment but my favourite, Love’s First Kiss, is still in stock. They are very comfortable and are the longest lasting lipsticks I’ve tried!

Good luck in your search!

Long lasting lipstick

Not from Sephora but the Beauty Bakerie matte lip whips are amazing. I have a few of them and when you apply them correctly, no amount of oily food can remove them.

Re: Long lasting lipstick

I’ll second the NARS Powermatte and Lancôme L’Absolu lip lacquer recommendations, and add Make Up For Ever Artist liquid matte. The NARS and MUFE liquid mattes are the best performers I’ve ever tried, and I’ve tried many. Many people also love ColourPop’s liquid mattes. Those do last a long time (some are hard to remove) but, on me, they don’t feel as comfy as NARS and MUFE.

If you’re looking for a solid lipstick, well... The ones I touch up least often are MUFE Artist Rouge. Sometimes those wear off quickly along my waterline, so I might use a grippy lip primer just in that area to make it last longer. But everywhere else on my lips, that lipstick stays put. I mean it transfers as much as any other solid lipstick, but it doesn’t completely wear off my lips. I’ve yet to find a solid lipstick I don’t have to touch up at least 3 times a day.

Also: if you don’t already use a lip primer, try one to make your lipstick last longer. My go-to is MAC Prep + Prime Lip, but the grippiest one I own is Cargo’s lip primer. The MAC primer’s quite good at stopping feathering/bleeding if you overline with it. The Cargo primer will encourage bleeding if you overline with it—that stuff’s a magnet for lipstick—so it’s best used inside your lip lines. Some folks like to use Urban Decay Ultimate Ozone primer on their lips but that stuff never works well for me as a lip primer. Whichever primer you choose, apply just one thin coat—especially if you use the MAC primer, otherwise lipstick will slide off it.

Long lasting lipstick

I recommend either black up no transfer liquid lipsticks or sephora lip stains. They are so hard to take off.

@Joanna101,

I also find that the Nars Power Mattes have a lot of pigment and are very long wearing!

RE: Long lasting lipstick

Lancôme Absolue Lacquer is my favourite. It is lightweight, looks and wears like a gloss but acts like a stain. It lasts after eating too!

Re: Long lasting lipstick

There are quite a few really good ones. My favorites are Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, Stila  Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick and Anastasia Liquid Lipstick

Sephora cream lip stains are great, especially if you want a matte look without drying out your lips.

@Amani0529,

They are one of my favorites as well! I have them in a few shades.
