Lipsticks for really pale people

So I'm really pale, like my foundation is legit 001 or 002, and I have a cool undertone. I have no idea about lipstick colors to go with my skin tone... Can anyone recommend any? I'm new to lipsticks and I'm completely lost. Thank you! ❤️

Re: Lipsticks for really pale people

I also have pale skin. It would depend on if you are wanting bold colours or neutral colours what you should pick. I recently picked up the Bite Luminous Creme Duo (the bright set) and LOVE it! The formula is fantastic and the colours look amazing on. I was really nervous about them being to bright and held off buying it for a few months before I finally decided for that price it wouldnt hurt to try and I am so glad I did. Its def worth the $15 for fun lipstick that looks great on (even with my pale skin).

If you want a more neutral lip duo I love this same one in the shades in Lychee/Musk. So pretty for fair skin!

I really recommend Makeup Forever Rouge Artist lipstick in Natural 09; its a universal shade and was a beauty insider birthday gift last year. I love it so so much, its just a color that goes with everything!

I'm pretty pale, I'm 2R03 on the Color IQ chart. I also have cool undertones. (Which I didn't realize for awhile)

Some of my favorites are: Besame's Red Velvet

Nars' Audacious Fanny, Bette and Charlotte:

Too Faced's La Creme Pink Chocolate

Re: Lipsticks for really pale people

Hi, Amanda! The world of make up can be your oyster and regardless of undertones or shades, it'll boil down to how you feel wearing it, so if it makes you feel good, then keep at it :), but if you're looking for some direction in navigating the world of colors in lipsticks, my suggestion would be to first decide what type of look you want to go for or prefer. For example, are you wanting something bold or bright? Or do you want something subtle and more natural? Are you wanting a full-color finish or something more sheer?

If the opacity of lipsticks are too daunting, try a sheer balm or gloss version of a color you're interested in to ease into wearing the shade before something as high impact as a lipstick itself. You can always blot down the color with a tissue after it's applied or just dab on color from the tube with your finger more a softer, stained looked.

Feel free to also reference celebs with paler complexions and cooler skin tones as well such as Nicole Kidman, Christina Hendricks, and Dita Von Teese to see a myriad of shades on them to get an idea what those colors may look like on your skin tone.

My Holy Grail nude pink lipstick. No. 10 Miss you - Description says Taupe but it's really a sheerish, dusty pink nude.  Lovely!
Royal Wedding is a great blue-based red and perfect for a beginner.  It's sheer but buildable.  It can give you a sheer stain look or a bolder lip if you layer it.

Sephora Luster Matte in Fig. It's sold out right now but it's another lipstick I grab all the time.  Perfect for daytime or with a smoky eye at night.

Hi Amanda, I'm pale too, probably not as pale as you but still very fair. I'm an NC20 in MAC with green eyes and black hair with cool undertones. Nudes work for me but absolutely no beige. Makes me look dead. I like a nude that has a bit of pink in it so it matches my undertones. Also blue reds look amazing on super fair skin. But I'm not sure of your hair color because redheads that are fair look great in orange based reds. I will edit this post shortly to show you some of my favorite colors. Also, Sephora brand lipsticks are a great place to start. They have a huge color range and are priced very well. Sorry this post went all wonky.  I added spoilers and it messed up the format.

Also look at the Besame line of lipsticks.  They are all gorgeous and you can hardly go wrong.  Again, go for the blue-based or neutral reds if you're cool toned.  Hope that helps somewhat.
