Lipstick gift for Bridesmaids

Hi All! 

I want to give red or coral lipstick as a gift for my bridesmaids. I’d love to hear about any high end recommendations you guys have tried and loved.  Personally I love the Nars Audacious lipsticks but I’m open to different brands, finishes, etc. Thank you!!

Thank you everyone for all the ideas and kind words!! I can always count on my BIC friends for great advice. I wanted to show you guys the final product, my bridesmaid proposal boxes. I ended up buying a variety of Nars powermatte lip pigment in Don’t Stop and Light my fire and YSL Tatouge Couture in 1 & 12. Can’t wait to give the boxes out!! Thank you so much everyone!!! 😁

I think the nars velvet matte lipstick pencil in cruella is the *perfect* red lip!!

Didn’t see anyone mention it here, but Tatcha has a handful of lipsticks that are amazing!  Kyoto Red was (unknowingly) my introduction to luxury beauty.  Tatcha’s formula surpasses Tom Ford’s, YSL’s, and Pat McGrath’s for nourishment and comfort.  I have yet to come across a formula that is as comfortable.  The case is also super beautiful and weighty.   It’s odd that they don’t carry it on the Sephora website, but you can find it on the Tatcha site in sets and individuals.

@KVeritas Tatcha's Kyoto Red is divine! You're so right, the formula is unparalleled, the shade is one of my favorite reds ever, and the case is beyond luxe. Tatcha has an annual friends and family sale in the fall or winter, perfect time to pick up backups!

@CakesCakes I'm going to throw in another recommendation for Pat McGrath's Elson.  Not only is it the perfect blue red lipstick, but the packaging is gorgeous.  I actually keep mine in the original box in my purse so I can continue to enjoy the beautiful box.

@CakesCakes  Congrats, congrats, congrats!!! When's the big day? And what a sweetheart you are! Are you thinking all the same shades or shades and brands unique to each bridesmaid? YSL Rouge Pur Couture is always a pleaser (though heavily fragranced if any of your ladies are sensitive) and the Tatouge Lip Stain might be my favorite formula ever. Bonus, if you order direct from YSL (and possibly nordies?) you can get the lipsticks engraved for free!

Otherwise...I concur about Nars Audacious, great formula and such chic colors. Other personal faves, the Shiseido ModernMattes (lots of reds, though beware the online color swatches, not really true to life in color), Pat McGrath MatteTrance and LuxeTrance (Elson is the perfect red RED), and I can't forget Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet (luminous and matte are both gorgeous, though luminous formula wins by a hair).

@MissPuff  Thank you so much for all the recommendations! Our date is May, 23, 2020. I feel better knowing someone else loves the lipstick idea as much as me. It took me a while to decide what to give them. And I really love the idea of engraving a YSL lipstick- definitely leaning towards this!
