Lipstick and masks?

Anyone know how to keep lipstick off our face masks? Is there a tip or a trick so that I donโ€™t end up looking like Harley Quinn from the nose down?

Re: Lipstick and masks?

@Over40Glam  Nothing I've tested works, aside from wearing only transfer-proof lipsticks (aka liquid mattes)โ€”which I don't normally do often anyway. So my only solution is to not wear non-liquid-matte lipstick under masks. Not ideal, especially if you're as big a lipstick junkie as I am, but that's what I do.

Eh, it's mentally easier for me to handle since I don't go anyplace where I'll remove my mask long enough for folks to see my lips anyway. If I was doing that, I'd probably not apply lipstick until I was on location and had removed my mask. Then I'd wipe lipstick off before putting my mask back on.

To satisfy my lipstick addiction and "sigh, look at all my lovelies begging to be worn" dismay, I sometimes wear lipstick at home all day. ๐Ÿ˜‚

@Over40Glam I haven't had much luck myself (have tried blotting) so I've stuck to lip stains and balms.  They still get on my mask, but generally don't get all over my face.

@danielledanielle @Over40Glam This is what I do as well.  Great recommendation.

@Over40Glam You can try blotting the lipstick with a tissue or putting a tissue over the lips and applying powder on top for more staying power.
