Lip color help

Hi! I have never owned a dark or red lip color. I typically just use neutral colors but I want to branch out and start wearing a little more color. Anyone have any advice or recs of a good lipstick or gloss to start with?? My lips do tend to be dry. Help!

Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Hydrating Lipstick Walk of No Shame is a nice entry point to reds. It falls somewhere between a nude and a red. @Saradestin has a photo of it somewhere on Makeup Challenge of the Week 2021/2022/2023

@EMJ313 @JoSometimes  Yes, I agree with Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Hydrating Lipstick Walk of No Shame being a bold but wearable lipstick. You can blot it for a more natural look and add a gloss for shine, or apply it to its full intensity. I find it to be a very beautiful lippie. 

 

I also love Yves Saint Laurent The Slim Velvet Radical Matte Lipstick 302 Brown. No Way Back. that you can also blot it not 😊
