Angry Shopping

My Packers just lost. The only thing left to do is pour a glass of red wine and buy more lipstick.

Shall I buy...

YSL Rouge Volupte 13 Peach Passion

or

Givenchy LeRouge 102 Beige Plume

or

Givenchy Rouge Interdit 26 Voluptuous Nude

Re: Angry Shopping

YSL. Sorry about the Packers! My brother is a 49ers fan, so he was happy when they won...

Re: Angry Shopping

Sorry about your team. Lipstick won't disappoint you!! I say go with the Yves!!!

Re: Angry Shopping

YSL!!!

Re: Angry Shopping

lol about angry shopping, I love it.

I have a Rouge Interdit (Liv's Lips, which was special edition) that I really like a lot!  I LOVE the case and get tons of compliments/questions when I reapply.

It's not longwearing though, despite the description. hehe

Re: Angry Shopping

Red is the color of passion Smiley Wink

Re: Angry Shopping

Vote for Le Rouge!

Re: Angry Shopping

I vote givenchy

Re: Angry Shopping

I feel your pain - Packer fan here, too.

I'd say go for Le Rouge.

Re: Angry Shopping

I would go with the Givenchy Le Rouge, unless you know already that you love the YSL RV formula. I personally hate the regular RV formula, but love the Shines and the Sheer Candy.

Re: Angry Shopping

I was rooting for the Packers tonight even though I'm a Redskins fan. If I had bought a new lippy every time they lost this season, I'd be set as far as lipstick goes Smiley Tongue

My vote is for Givenchy, that red is to die for

Re: Angry Shopping

I bought the new LE Dior mono shadows after my Bengals lost. It's that kind of day Smiley Sad

I have the YSL Peach Passion. In fact, I wore it today. I don't love the formula as much as the YSL RV Shines, but the color will be cool for spring.DSC01473.JPGI'm intrigued by the Givenchy ones...

Re: Angry Shopping

That color looks great on you!

I'm curious, what about the formula don't you like as much as the RV Shines?  I've been debating on picking up a YSL lipstick myself, but don't know which one to go for.

Re: Angry Shopping

DesertRose, I love YSL's formulas--they are my favorite along with Guerlain for lipstick. I love Givenchy's creamy formula, too, but not a single shade of Le Rouge suited me. If you love pinky nudes like me, I highly recommend the RV Shine Pink in Confidence or Nude in Private.

Jellybean, I'm surprised you noticed a difference! You must have very discerning lips Smiley Wink They feel the same to me, though I know that some people say that glittery shades feel slightly gritty. Still, the Shines and the originals have such amazing slip and they smell so good.

Re: Angry Shopping

Can  you tell me what they smell like? Thanks.

Re: Angry Shopping

Mangoes!! Some say roses, but most agree it's a mango scent. Maybe mango and rose? Who knows--it's fruity and delicious Smiley Happy Not overwhelming, though, don't worry.

Re: Angry Shopping

You look gorgeous.I love that we can see your makeup but it's not a makeup look that leaves me saying 'pretty shadow colors' ooh aah - its more about what it does to your eyes, you look beautiful, your makeup is not the focal point, you are. I'm assuming this is You only better. Might I add that your eyebrows are Amazing!

I do love this lipstick a lot. I think this could be the new love that I'm looking for. I really want to get this color. You mentioned that you don't like the formula as much as the YSL RV Shines, can you tell us what the difference(s) is/are? Are they long wearing? The biggest question, what do they smell like, that can be a deal breaker for me. Thanks in advance for any info. Smiley Happy

Re: Angry Shopping

Kssweetheart, I know I'm not the person you asked, but I can tell you a thing or two about wear time. Because YSL lippies have the slip that they do (something I love, personally) they don't have the longest wear time, in my experience, because they don't have as much "grab" as, say, a lipstick that's designed for long wear. I will say that they are fun to use, so reapplication is more of a pleasure than a chore! Smiley Happy I also answered the smell question (see above). It's not a powerful scent, promise!

Re: Angry Shopping

I vote Givenchy! I was going to say Le Rouge all the way because I have one and I love how it applies, but I like the Voluptuous Nude shade of the Rouge Interdit even better than the Beige Plume shade of the Le Rogue.

Re: Angry Shopping

I'm not familiar with the rouge interdit satin but the LE rouge is a much better formula than YSL RV in my opinion, the YSL one sometimes is too creamy and settles in lip lines easily... Just looks too cakey for a lip product haha

Re: Angry Shopping

I love how creamy Le Rouge is but every single shade is too warm for me and looks odd. I wish they would expand the shade selection!
