100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

This is boring and seems like cheating but it IS a lip product... 🙃😉 

I wanted to go very light on any makeup yesterday as my skin has been a little angry (hence that spot right on the most sensitive part of the face) so I only wore Grande Lips plumper gloss in clear. Although I already have a relatively large bottom lip I still really enjoy using any kind of plumbers to just fill in lip lines. This one didn’t sting and did actually plump my top lip a bit (my lips are naturally pretty lopsided... so that not from the product.)

I should have taken a before photo to compare, dang it!

Oh thank you, @Buootiful ! My lips are pretty dark colored naturally which is great for lazy days but also sometimes makes it hard for lighter shades to work 🙃

The last of my newest Lancome L'Absolu Lacquers, this is 142 Brave Lips. It's described as pinky red, but I'm 100% certain Ulta mixed up the description with 134, as this is definitely an orange red, not pinky at all. Orange isn't my thing, but it's red enough that this still falls into the like category shade-wise (and of course the formula is my all time favorite 😍)

Heh, I knew exactly what shade that was before I even read your description. 🙂 A lot of Ulta’s product pages seem to have the wrong product photos and/or descriptions of shades lately. But Brave Lips is one of my favorite L’Absolu Lacquers, so I’m happy to see it look so fantastic on you! 

Also, sounds like you have as many of these as I do now. 😂 If Lancôme releases more colors that aren’t close dupes to existing ones, I’m (maybe both of us are) in trouble.

I'm just glad I ordered both reds, instead of going for the "pinky red" only and being disappointed. I knew I had swatched both at one point and been ok with both, but hadn't paid close enough attention to the site to realize the listing error. If I'm going either way, pink wins over orange any day of the week for me.

I've got 3 more on my "maybe" list from Ulta, and I want the one exclusive Lancome direct shade, and then I'll be done. I swear. Never mind that the maybes are only there because I don't want to feel like I'm done yet 😛

New shades. OMG. Don't even get me thinking about that. That would be amazing (and my wallet would be angry)

Day 90 (!!!), lipstick 105: Bite Amuse Bouche in Jam. I bought this last fall (I think) but today was its first full day of wear. Not the best lighting in this photo but it’ll have to do. 

You can never have too many deep berry shades... until you have over 300 lipsticks. 😄

I quickly learned that I not only need a liner + primer perimeter to stop feathering/bleeding (which I always need for Bite bullets), I also need to wear primer on the inside of my bottom lip to keep Jam from quickly wearing away and getting a bit goopy. I’ll try that next time I wear this, and then decide if I’m keeping Jam. If primer can’t fix it, then Jam’s a goner, even though I love this color.

Thanks @curlychiquita ! I never tried any Bite lipsticks until last year, and now I own... several. 😂 As long as you’re not allergic to the formula and don’t mind using primer and/or liner to stop feathering, the Amuse Bouche bullets are great!

@WinglessOne Love this color on you! I recommend trying the TOO FACED - Lip Insurance Lip Primer. I have found that this lip primer stops my lipsticks from moving or feathering. I hope this helps!
