100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Ahhhhh thé Lancôme’s arrived!!!  This is vertige!  I don’t normally go for browns but this one spoke to me.  It’s got just enough red in it.

Saw this in a store a week or 2 ago and took a chance on it. Almay Lip Vibes in Dream. Today’s an illness flare-up day and I haven’t showered or even washed my face yet, hence the intentionally cropped photo. 

Barely slept last night and it shows.

This stuff feels like a balm. (I didn’t wear any balm under it.) Unfortunately it’s very patchy. I had a hard time getting an even coat, which unevened itself 2 minutes later for no reason. It self-ombres, which would be cool if it didn’t also pool deep into my lip lines, giving me a cracked smile; I’m surprised that doesn’t come across more in this photo. Rubbing my lips together to smooth out the cracks/pools only makes everything very patchy. 😞 

Sure, I suppose this particular shade might just be problematic—maybe the more conventional reds, pinks, and berries perform better—but I won’t buy a second one of these to find out. Definitely not keeping this. At least it only cost me $5. Sometimes you really do get what you pay for. 

I do like the clear top and wish all brands would do this. Then I wouldn’t need to buy clear bullet caps. And I can’t ignore the Sephora Lip Stories packaging similarity. 😄

Aw, thanks @Weetart ! I’d been awake for probably 10 hours when I took that photo. I just felt too crummy all day to climb into the tub to shower. When you’re only 5’ tall, a deep tub is a climbing expedition. 😂 Makes me miss having a separate freestanding shower sometimes.

Ahhhhhhh, yuck! I saw these and thought of you (especially the blue), but forgot to ask if you had seen them or grabbed one. Kinda glad I didn't now 😛

Is it blue or purple? It's a dark blue on Ulta's site, but this picture definitely looks more deep greyish-purple. I guess I kinda see a denim-ish cast to it, but it looks way different than I thought it would.

I grabbed one to try, but haven't worn it yet. It's labeled as a cream, but has shimmer in it (Believe)...it swatches nicely, sheer but shimmery...kinda nervous about trying it now lol

@RGbrown  😂 It’s the thought that counts, right? This one’s bluer than it looks in the photo. It’s a dark navy in person, though my lip color does skew it closer to blue violet since it’s not opaque. 

I had fairly high hopes for this; it’d be another of those balmy lip colors (a blue one!) I could always keep in my purse, but noooooo, it didn’t want to cooperate. If you do try yours, I hope you have better luck with it!
