100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

I didnt get get around to take a pic mostly because I look dead in that colour 🤣

Today it is MARC JACOBS BEAUTY - Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick - Oh Miley 200

I think I have one more lipstick from this line then I’ll move to another brand!

Too Faced Sweet Peach lipstick in Got Peach? I really LOVE the texture -- it is so cushy and moisturizing, and the staying power surprised me greatly: it lasted through lunch.

Dior Rouge Dior in Visionary. I wish this was a satin instead of a matte. It’s not bad, and kudos to Dior for making a blue lipstick, but it needs a lip primer to help keep it from cracking when I smile. (I didn’t use one because I rarely have to with solid lipsticks.) 

Halloween makeup test session

This is my test of part of a Halloween makeup idea. I was deciding which green shadow to run out from my eyes up onto the sides of my forehead and down my cheeks, and I think Charlotte Tilbury’s Rebel quad palette is the winner. Now I need to decide if I’m using this Dior lipstick or MAC Blue Beat, which is more comfy to wear. Hmm.

@WinglessOne that's a great colour! It's between black and blue and I think it will be way better to go with green eyeshadow than Blue Beat. Love the Rebel quad! It's the only thing I own from Charlotte Tilbury.

Thanks @Krysa13! There will also be blue eyeshadow involved, so Blue Beat might also work. Though Blue Beat is definitely a bit bluer... or I could not use either of these and go with a blackened teal instead... I need to play more with all of it this weekend. 

The Rebel quad is fun! It’s the only CT eyeshadow palette I own, as none of the others grabbed my attention. I do have a few other CT things, mostly powders and now concealers. I got a lip gloss GWP from Nordstrom earlier this year, along with a couple of skin creams. I need to wear that lip gloss for this challenge. (Note to self.)

How do you figure out all this magic, that with only certain formulations of lipstick you need primer, @WinglessOne? I bought a primer thinking I just apply it under every color. 

There is a name for that technique, theeyeshadow down to the cheek, my husband asked me if I knew about it just today and I didn’t. There is no way that should be happening. 

My two cents...if you are dressing up and going out or entertaining, wear the Mac so you are comfy😉
