100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Smashbox Be Legendary Liquid Lip in Brick Trick. I was ready to declutter this along with all my other Be Legendary liquids. Then I tried it on. And now... I might have to keep it, since it hasn’t turned as goopy as some of the other Smashbox liquids. It did fairly well through dinner and 2 bottles of beer. It’s a little sticky, but not obnoxiously so. And I always like a nice brick red. Think I’ll keep it until I find a good replacement. 

I wear my sunglasses at night

I wore shades to show a friend these particular sunglasses, since she asked about them and is considering buying a pair for herself. 😎

@Samtian 😄 They’re Wildfox “Kitten” shades. I recently saw a pair of orange ones at a Nordstrom Rack and I’m kicking myself for not using my Nordstrom Notes to buy them right then and there, because now of course they’re gone. Someone in Chicago has my orange Kittens, dang it!

Another ELF Velvet Matte today, this time in Flirty Flamingo. In an effort to ward off dryness, I slathered on an extra thick coat of balm, but all that did was cause it to wear off almost immediately...and the leftover ring around the outside of my lips still cracked and settled in my lip lines. I'm over trying to make these work. I will say it is a really nice formula *for*a*matte*, so if matte bullets are up your alley, don't hesitate to try them. I get similar results from mattes in many brands, including UD, MAC, etc, so there are probably plenty of folks these will work for...I'm just not one of them.

I’m back! It’s been a crazy busy week for me but I managed to grab a pic of a lippie that came this week. Here is ColourPop Creme Lux in Liquid Courage. I picked this up over the weekend during the free shipping, and I knew I wanted to get the Snow White shade but I hadn’t tried this formula yet! I love this shade, the darker red is perfect for fall! Ignore the hair and face. This is after a day of yoga, volleyball, school assemblies, and a late September heat wave!

@alexasteph  This red, Courage,  is so pretty on you!! I love you're into sports!! I love volleyball and have played 2-3 nights a week until I messed up my knee!! People can't believe I love makeup because they think if you like sports, you shouldn't enjoy getting glammed up!! Your looks are always gorgeous!!😍

Thank you @yankeefaithful! I’ve been athletic and active my whole life, and I’m a PE teacher and a coach so I better be in to sports! Haha. In my adult life I started getting in to makeup. The ying and yang I suppose!

@alexasteph  I've always loved sports and was such a tomboy growing up, my Dad would get so mad when I'd get hurt playing with the boys!! In high school, basketball and softball were my sports, but got into the volleyball when I graduated college and different leagues popped up. What sport do you coach?
