100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Looking gorgeous @Guessgal ! I love Always Red, it's the best out of all the Sephora Cream Stains (the formula for that particular color just feels different) and is just the most perfect shade. I love your dress too, and how have I never noticed your dimple?! Happy Holidays!

Day 11! Using my bite lip crayon in Glace. It’s part of my 2019 panning challenge, so thought I’d get a head start on using it! It’s an errand day so I’m not wearing any other makeup oops 😂 sorry for the extreme close up LOL I was waiting for something and people are very judgy about public selfies but mainly just here for the lighting!

Nothing wrong with getting a head start @cianni! It looks so nice on you. It's crazy to me how lip colors can look so different on everyone. I think it's okay but don't think it looks as good on me.

Day 3, I wearing Fenty Beauty mattemoiselle in griselda

I’m finally well enough to leave home again, and to wear any makeup. This is ColourPop Lux in 27. On me, it’s a mauve nude. It looks browner in this photo than it really is. 

Mustering an achy smile.

27 performs as well as all my other CP Luxes. No surprise there! I’m so glad I discovered my first Lux (On Display) in an Ulta one day and took a blind chance on it, with no knowledge of the formula and somewhat low expectations (thanks to other CP lipstick formulas I really don’t like). These are now some of my favorite bullets in my collection! And thanks to the ridiculously low price, I’ve bought several as gifts for family and close friends. Part of me doesn’t wanna tell everyone about these because like omg what if CP raises the price?! 😂 But most of me wants everyone to try at least one shade, because these are such a steal. Big kudos to ColourPop for this line.

Clarins Water Lip Stain in Red

The applicator is a bit odd...think nail polish brush. But I really love the stain power and how well it lasts. Proper prep for me involves NO lip balm (and a good scrub to make sure my lips are free from the 87 layers of balm I already had on 😋), then putting on one light layer and letting it soak in for a while. After that, apply balm as desired. This is after a couple of hours of wear, and a couple of coats of balm.

The color looks great!  That applicator actually sounds better than a doe foot to me.  I don't really like doe foot applicators.

Day 23: MAC x Phillipe & David collab in the shade DavidBlond. So today was a bit of a train wreck finding my daily lippie- first one was a hot mess and I scratched it for today (darkkkk MAC Aliyah collab). I might try it one more time before returning. Then I tried the MJ gloss stick in Black Cherry Baby. I love the formula but the darker shades I don’t think to well with it- very sheer and patchy applying, so scratched. Now I found this one lol. I was a bit unsure with this one but it’s growing on me. Due to the type of formula that I read in a review, it’s supposed to start out very sheer- I didn’t know that before hand when I tried it and was like- where’s the color? Lol. I built it up and then looked at it and now I’m liking it. It’s a pretty soft pink with warm tones and a light pearl finish. I can’t remember if I have something close to this or not already-makes me think of YSL Le Nu- but I might keep it since it’s limited edition and I like it 🙂 Creamy formula too, feels great as well. Excuse my face in the first pic Lol- it was only a layer or two and I wasn’t really feeling it haha. But then the second pic is more layers topped with better lighting and me liking it more 🙂 Also- in office lighting the bullet looks like a nude but with a flashlight on you can see the pink in it!
