100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@Buootiful so close to the end! I love how you’re keeping up with the brown lipsticks - love them on you! Aren’t the liquid lip crayons the best 😭 application is literally a breeze !

I never knew brown lipsticks were a thing @cianni . I got the first brown in NARS powermatte in Done it Again  and was pleasantly surprised I liked the darker color. Then I stopped//forgot about it until the Smashbox lip pallet with Coffee run in it.

I can't wait to repeat the Fenty lip stunna and the Pat mcgrath luxetrance ones 🙂

Dang, I just realized I should have gotten a2nd set Marc jacob lipstick crayon  trio. Now its out of stock :(. Oh well, Ill buy one in the sale in April.

Day 30: Sugarpill Liquid Lip Color in Doll Up. I saw Ulta brought this in and I had a gift card so I was like why not, it’s less expensive than some other brands plus this color just spoke to me lol. It’s listed as a sweet rose with baby glue and gold sparkles. And I think the model pic does it justice unlike some other brands (PMG etc). It is very matte though, so I don’t know if I just got a bad batch because it’s described as a soft matte that is comfortable, non drying and lightweight. It’s not too uncomfortable wearing it but if I rub my lips together, they stick together and feel dry. I didn’t help things either by trying something else before this and then taking it off and not applying some balm before this one lol. Color is flattering though. I thought the Ulta swatch “dot,” which shows it being a little pinker, was what I was getting so I was disappointed when I first tried it on, but then when I saw the model pic, it looks just like what I have on so Ulta messed up on that. Can you see the sweet rose color? Pictures make it look more nude but in real life I think I can see it I’m just bad haha. The gold sparkles show up really well but under flashlight you can see the blue, it’s really pretty. I’ll try it with some balm next time underneath. And since it’s so matte I can’t tell if it’s showing my lip line age too much. It’s always hard to tell with mattes! It’s growing on me though. I don’t have anything else like this 🙂 what do you think?

Colourpop Lux creme in What If

@RGbrown Yes they are very good and for $7 hellloooooooooo get 100 of them. Okay I only have 3 but still... I coukld easily have 700. This is a great shade too! It really brightens up your face.

Yeeeessss! Totally worth the 7 bucks (and more, but don't tell CP that lol). I've got 4, but I think I've about maxed out the shades I want...they need some new ones stat! 😄

I am so glad they've been talked to death (lol) too! After deciding I hated the Lippie Stix, Ultra Mattes, and pretty much every CP lip I had, I put the brand on "ignore" in my head, and never would have found these otherwise 😄

Back to back I know lol here’s today’s lippie, Day 30; Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide in 107 Nude Velours. I saw this during the VIB sale and grabbed one to try. This one caught my eye- a “nude with a hint of purple.” Which to me with it on just makes me see a purple thing. Do you get the nude part in this? Maybe I’m just bad at catching it lol but the applicator is different but really nice to use. Formula is creamy and dries down quick to a velvet matte finish, not too drying. Only thing is I can’t tell if I have another one in my collection like this lol. For you lovely ladies that have been following me since I started, have you noticed any similar lippie? Closest one I can find is YSL Rose Stiletto but that has more of a pink tone. Anyway I really like it and think it can be a keeper.

It looks lovely on you @SnugglePuggle94@ and a close match for me is NARS powermatte in American woman. For me, it is a non drying liquid lipstick that lasts thru eating 😁

Lovely, @SnugglePuggle94!  I actually have pretty pigmented lips that trend purple.  These kinds of colors do look nudish on me.  I think that's why browns don't look good on me - it clashes with the natural color of my purpleish lips.
