100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Day 45: Givenchy Rouge Interdit 26 Midnight Red. I forgot I had this one for awhile lol! It’s a very pretty flattering red shade. They label it “metallic bright red” and I think that suits it well. Starts out a little sheer but buildable and expected as it’s a satin finish. At first I didn’t see the metallic part but later I did. Also close up you can see very pretty red shimmer in it! It’s comfortable too but like all satins, it’s wet and transfers a good bit. But I don’t mind that much. So I looked to see if this was a ruby match for the Huda mistake I had a few days ago. I think it’s close but not just right. And I think “ruby” kinds of red have different shades right? Like bright ruby and dark ruby? I don’t think there’s just one ruby color. And I think this is a good brighter ruby kind of shade. For comparison, I put collages of both in natural and office lighting for you all to see on the bottom. Huda on the left, Givenchy on the right. (Huda does have a gloss on top, Givenchy doesn’t). Can’t wait to see what you think!

Day 88. Givenchy Le Rouge Liquide in 309 L'Interdidt. Pretty. Not as good as yesterday's color of this formula. Unfortunately this got on a light blue scarf.
