100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Ah, I lost count of days...I had a few where I wore two or three. I'm now at shade 115, day unknown, and keeping on going, so don't feel like you have to quit any time soon 😄

I'm almost to ready to just toss anything I haven't gotten to yet...if it hasn't been compelling enough to wear yet, maybe I don't need it. 

Ok, that's enough crazy talk. 😛

@RGbrown 😂 I did a couple crazy rounds of blind purging last year. One was more of a semi-blind purge: after the last ABH lipstick I wore for this challenge, I decided “that’s it, I’m SO bleeping done with ABH,” and promptly ditched every ABH in my hoard. I had lots of liquid mattes, glossed, and bullets I hadn’t gotten to yet, but I tossed ‘em all. I still have no regrets! 

Not sure I’ll do another blind purge. But honestly, with all the new (as of 2018) lipsticks I have that I’m sure are better than those in my declutter limbo box, I’m very tempted.

I went through all of my unworn ones last night...curiosity got to me after making that comment lol. Since my focus these last few months has been decluttering, much of what's left is actually quite safe...I have a few Lacquers I haven't worn yet, other shades in formulas I know I like, etc.

I did the semi-blind purge for some though too...all Nars Velvet Mattes are gone after only trying a couple, MAC mattes, all liquid mattes regardless of brand (except a few metallics and NARS Powermatte), most glosses, etc. I might have a few more I can toss without testing them, but for the most part, I think I'll be giving what's left at least one more shot before deciding whether to toss it.

Here’s Marc Jacobs Kiss Pop in Headliner. I don’t remember how long I’ve had this, but it’s the only Kiss Pop I have left. Love the color and it feels fine. I think the packaging keeps me from wearing it often: the cap is very hard to remove on this bullet.
