100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@ShortErica This looks really nice on you!  I seem to see it as more pink.  It's too bad it's so slippery because it's really a lovely shade.   Brings out your eyes.  If there's anything this thread is good for, it's seriously evaluating what you have and look for in a lip product.  That and enabling us to buy more 🙂

So so true @sprocketta! Until this thread I was very skeptical of bullet lipsticks but there have been so many great reviews and trying some of my minis I can understand why. I guess I had the vision of grandmas overapplying with bullet lipsticks and associated them with looking a little clownish. I was so wrong!

Day 77, lipstick 90: Bite Amuse Bouche in Squid Ink. I was trying to save this one for day 90ish but couldn’t resist dipping back into blues a bit early. It may look black in the photo, but it’s actually a deep navy blue. Requires a liner like every other Bite AB bullet I’ve tried (to prevent lots of feathering/bleeding), but it feels and performs great. I’m happy to keep this one.

Thanks @divaknits! The liner is NARS - Precision Lip Liner - Nasty Girl. It’s a black shade. Squid Ink is so dark, a black lip liner works fine with it. 

Bite does make a lip liner that matches Squid Ink: BITE BEAUTY - The Lip Pencil in shade 054, which is a deep navy. MUFE also has a dark blue liner that would work: MAKE UP FOR EVER Artist Color Pencil Brow, Eye & Lip Liner 202 Total Midnight. I have both of those liners but reached for the Nars black one instead, because I find Nars liners do a slightly better job of stopping chronic bleeders.

Day numero two of my restart - today on the lips is Nars Powermatte in 'American Woman'. Really like this one all around - I only have this in a mini sample size...thinking I may need to invest in a larger one....at some point.

Minis are awesome @adnamac! I wish I had more of them so that I can actually finish an lipstick. I haven’t gotten one in my Play! box in a while. I know some people don’t like them, but they help me figure out

what I like.

Thank you ladies for all your condolences and support during this time. I wanted to make a new post here just to thank everyone because so many responded it would’ve taken forever to tag each one of you. Things are still hard. Emotion comes in waves throughout the day. Today I was a bit drained until the end of work when I parked in the driveway and realized I would only be walking in to see my brothers dog Bruno and that was it. Feels wrong that she’s not here anymore. Will be taking it day by day since it’s the only thing I can do right now. Again thank you for all the support 🙏
