100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@jozkid I replied to yours (and others’) posts before I posted my own. 🙂 I just do that sometimes. 

But I don’t see a problem with wearing a lipstick someone else has worn. It’s inevitable, since some of us like the same brands/lines. I just chuckled when I saw your photo and realized we’re wearing the same lipstick today.

Today we had gloomy weather so I decided to go for a winter colour, UD Frostbite. I like the colour itself but surprisingly the lipstick was way too creamy/oily, almost like a balm, and went on somewhat sheer. I had to apply 2-3 coats to reach this level of pigmentation. This is unusual for a UD lipstick, generally they are much more pigmented.

@Krysa13 When Urban Decay first launched, Frostbite was one of my favorite lipsticks. Apparently it’s as sheer now (well, with UD’s vintage relaunch) as it was back in the 90s. I still think it looks good on you, though.

@WinglessOne, OMG, I didn't know Frostbite existed in the 90s. In fact, I didn't buy it in a regular store, I bought it at an outlet of Nordstrom, so maybe my tube really dates from the 90s 🙂

@Krysa13 😂 I think Frostbite was part of UD’s vintage lipsticks release a couple years ago. I know Plague and Bruise were 2 of the other vintage shades because they were another 2 of my 90s favorites, and I almost bought the relaunched versions. 

Sometimes Frostbite works well as a topper, especially over a full base of lipliner pencil. But yeah, it takes a lot of building up if you want an opaque color, unfortunately.

Bite Pepper in the Luminous Creme formula. This was what started my love affair with Bite. It will always be my perfect MLBB. I actually haven’t tried Pepper in Amuse Bouche, but I don’t think it’s exactly the same. So if I do ever use up this tube I am in trouble! It doesn’t change the color of my lips at all in fact, but it’s the perfect thing for no makeup makeup which is pretty standard for me on a daily basis, save for the occasional bright lipstick. 

Bonus - demanding cat.

Love Pepper on you @alexasteph! It's also one of my favorite shades in the luminous creme formula, such a pretty rosy nude. I'm definitely clinging to my last tube of that version as well!

Okay @alexasteph I keep coming back here just to look at your cat. I can almost here him purring. I was a cat owner—err, human minion of a cat—for 21 years, so I’m kind of a pushover for kitties. 

I mean you look great too 🙂 but happy cats are the best accessories.
