100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Nothing show stopping today - which I tried to make up for by being as ridiculous as possible. I’m a huge goof - sorry guys! 😂 Didn’t really do make-up anything today - work at 5:30am and having to clear the snow off my car didn’t leave me in much of a futz around mood.

Just grabbed this colored balm that I got who-knows-where, who-knows-when and slapped that on my lips for the day. 

...do colored balms like this count? Oh well, it was in my lipstick stash so....gonna go with it!

Went a little out of my comfort zone today! This is Fenty Mattemoiselle in Griselda. I picked it up as a 100pt reward a while ago and only wore it once. I used a Nyx lipliner in 834 Prune, although I think my Bite 044 would be better because the Nyx was a little dry. While I love the texture, it did go on patchy when applied straight up. I’m attributing that to the color, I find that a lot of the dark berry colors are a touch on the patchy side. After I took this photo I tried again but applied it with a lip brush and it was on better. Last time I wore it I kind of just dabbed it on for a flush of color, and I think I like that effect better. Super comfortable though!

I think it's really pretty actually! And from what I heard, darker colors can get patchy if a company doesn't get it right. I was watching a Kathleenlights video today where she commented on this issue and that some companies get it right and some don't. I bet it's frustrating though!

Thank you! @SnugglePuggle94 I have this problem sometimes with these colors but surprisingly it’s not an issue with the Sephora collection Luster Matte liquid lipsticks! I have one in deep plum which I have on deck for later in this challenge so hopefully it’s as good as I remember 🥰

Day 5: My lip stick splurge during the Rouge sale the other weekend- Tom Ford in Pink Tease. Oh my word I’m falling in love!! It started out a bit bright but after it settled down I liked it more and more (also could be because I put my Silk Canvas on my lips too). It’s a beautiful pink and feels lightweight but looks semi matte without the heavy ness! I’m in love!!

Aw thank you! I think the color just added to my makeup look so well and I really felt pretty so my smile was better 🙂
