100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

That's not a stupid question @ShortErica I know they make sharpeners for lip liner pencils, but I'm not aware of something for a lipstick bullet. You could maybe try a lip crayon in one of those but it could be a bad result. Maybe test it on something you don't like that much?

If I find a holy grail lipstick, I may have to take a knife to it since the tip is essential for me to apply it decently. Or maybe after using lipstick more often I will be less sloppy. Thanks @sprocketta

Day 78, another plum. This one is Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Plumalicious. After wearing plum for two days, I've found that I want to find a go to in that shade. The Stowaway was better than the Revlon but I'm not quite there yet on formula.

Day 82

 

UD in Lovedrunk, a mini-size from a last-year holiday set. In the  picture it looks actually better than in reality. It look dark  red in the bullet but has a noticeable pinkish shade when applied. I don't mind a pinkish-red lippie, it's just not exactly what I thought I would get.

Day 32: PMG Luxtrance 404 in Sextology. I grabbed this during the BF sale and actually love it! Described as a “neutral pink” but I see it more as a peachy pink but beautiful and very flattering. Also the online picture was way off just like Donatella so I’m a bit annoyed but at least this is a keeper. The bullet looks more rosy pink but when I put it on this color came out. I love it!! ❤️ (My eye is irritated here so sorry lol I rubbed my eye when my eye cream wasn’t soaked in yet)

This is a lovely color on you @SnugglePuggle94 I haven't tried the LuxeTrance formula so I'd love to hear your thoughts on it.

Thanks @sprocketta! I’ve just had time now to respond after the holidays. The Luxetrance formula is awesome. Not too matte, more satiny but decent staying power and at least the colors I’ve tried, no bleeding or bad feathering. Only bad thing is the color swatches online as you’ve probably noticed so the colors might be different on you. And the price but I still think it’s worth to grab some during the sales!!

Day 73, lipstick 86: RMS Wild With Desire Lipstick in Rapture.

In the middle of bundling up for the great outdoors.

I loooove this brick red color, but this lipstick feels very heavy for a satin. It kinda has that old school thick plaster feel, if anyone knows what I mean (or is old enough to remember what I mean). It’s not super uncomfy but it bugs me. I’ll need to swatch-compare all my brick reds anyway, so I’ll probably find a dupe—probably a Colourpop Lux dupe, actually. I sure hope so! 

Day 74, lipstick 87: MAC Raver Girl in Rave Chic.

This is an iridescent purple bullet. First I wore it on its own today, with eyeliner and mascara. Then a friend challenged me to replicate this lipstick shade on my eyes, so I added eyeshadow (mostly the PMG La Vie en Rose palette) and took the above photo.

Then I said “if we really wanna push the eye-to-lip match, let’s ombré Rave Chic with a blue lipstick,” so I dabbed MAC Matte Royal on a few places. And now I might have to repeat this whole look in a couple of days. 😂
