100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@RGbrown I can see why you've kept this one.  This is stunning!  It's awesome to hear about the history of your love of makeup.  Just think, if your sis hadn't dragged you into Ulta, you might have saved a TON of money and never joined this community!  Glad you're here!

@lmaster @RGbrown It’s so crazy to think how things accumulate so quickly 😂 the only eyeshadow I owned was a MAC quad I received as a gift until this past year! It’s too bad this was discontinued, it’s very pretty, and has such clean application for a gloss (I’ll credit you with that though, all of your lines are always so precise)

I can well imagine! I dabbled a bit in my teens, but it just wasn't much of a thing in my circle, so I never much cared for it until this discovery around 40. My mother had convinced me when I was younger that Almay was all I could wear since they made a line for acne-prone skin, so that was pretty much all I had. It was a pitiful collection, but I also only wore makeup maybe once or twice a year lol.

@ShortErica you are so sweet! 😘 I'll be 38 in April  🤫 lol but seriously I just started skin care about two years ago. I only use an actual cleanser when I wear makeup, otherwise I'll just use a cleansing wipe with micellar water every morning and night, but I do try to tone, and use an essence and serums and moisturizer every day and night, along with the good ol sheet masks. I generally go for the anti age products at night and brightening for day 😁

Day 100!!!!. kat von d everlasting liquid lipstick in woolf. Last day of the challenge so of course i went unconventional. Was going to go with colourpop's ultra matte in Mr blonde. But as i learned when wearing sephora collection neon lip gloss in blue, it doesnt look right. I will wear it soon though.

Woolf was a impulse buy due to the 20 on 20 sale. It says its a smoky gray but what i see is a dark turqouise here - no gray. Maybe im color blind but i still love this color.😍 This didnt last as well thru dim sum but its the nature of these dark colors. The 2nd pic is in indoor light with a trial run of the coordinating eye look. Excuse the oilyness but i had just put my night oil on.

This challenge helped me like reds again, got way comfortable with bold colors, still love liquid mattes and found out about Pat Mcgrath matte lipsticks. It was great seeing the same colors on different people and everyone enabling each other to get more lipsticks 😁.
