100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

I spent some time on New year's day decluttering more lippies (yay!). I got rid of several glosses right off the bat, ones that were similar enough to other glosses that I saw no need to keep them...I rarely wear gloss anyways, so I didn't need 47 variations of clear with pink sparkle, etc. I did pull a few aside for wear testing though, so glosses will show up pretty heavily in my next few choices ✨

ABH Lip Gloss in Date Night

This looks almost neon red in the tube, but sheers out to a lovely bright pink. Still plenty of pigment, lovely shimmer, mostly comfy (ever so slightly sticky, but not bad so far). I'm mostly ambivalent when it comes to gloss since the lasting power is typically nil, but I'm also coming to realize I'd rather be comfy and have to reapply than deal with something longer lasting but dry. As long as this doesn't bleed heavily or bother my lips, it'll be a keeper ✨

I'm so determined to reach my goal of 50 lipsticks, since I'm on my 46th lipstick! And I'm itching to leave my apartment for a bit because all I can think about is a big bowl of pho or Taiwanese beef noodle soup. So using clean fingers (to avoid contaminating my lipstick with flu germs), I dabbed on a bit of Besame's 1945 American Beauty, which Sephora doesn't seem to carry anymore.
