100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

I like Daydreamer soo much better. I have no idea what I paired it with. I just know it’s from Maybelline. I hope I did it right. Thanks for the idea @WinglessOne. I also couldn’t find Peakcock Pearl. Guess I passed it up. Crazy! Guess I’ll have to go find it. Order it. Something.

Oh and by the way, I think I have Peacock Pearl. If I do I’m pretty sure I got it at TJ Maxx for a steal I couldn’t pass up. Now I want to test it. Off I go back into my stash.

Nah not trying to hide it. I just want to find a better way to wear it. I think my Maybelline blue may mimic your Blue Beat. Yes I think I’ll try this so my fiancé will quit staring at me - and not in a good way. 😆 Bless his little heart. Thanks @WinglessOne!

LIP PRODUCT 2 out of 195: 

Smashbox Be Legendary Lip Gloss in the shade Pout 

I got this as part of a Sephora Favorites lip set a couple years ago,... I don’t know that I would’ve bought it otherwise. It’s a decent gloss formula, but a tad sticky for my preference and not very pigmented. Even though it looks like a light baby pink in the tube, it goes on somewhat clear. I will say this, it lasts almost all day so I do like that aspect. But overall, I think it might be time to declutter this lippie,... Soooo I decided to post the evolution of this lippie. My daughter likes the light blue (KVD Everlasting Lipstick in Daydreamer) on me. Crazy. She doesn’t like lipstick so I was surprised. And she wasn’t lying. In fact, she’s brutally honest. It’s a little streaky, light, and drying for me so I decided to see if I could play with it a bit. Top photo is Daydreamer. Second is Daydreamer with Smashbox’s Always On Metallic Lip. Third is both with Fenty Beauty’s Diamond Milk. Daydreamer should be easy to conceal from the fiancé this way and give me a way to indulge in my bright lipstick fetish. Compromise. Forgive the blue ring. I got in a hurry.

This is for @WinglessOne who wanted to see swatch pictures of my two berries in question. Left is Framboise, right side is Heroic Pink. Looking at them now I can see Heroic is a bit more purple toned! I mean where’s the PINK! Lol and then look at the bullet swatches-(in the same positions)- office lighting is fine but in natural light? They look actual PINK! Each swatch is in office and natural lighting to compare. I’m a bit shook right now lol so I guess there is a slight difference here but on the lips they look very similar!

@SnugglePuggle94 Yep, they’re definitely different! 😂 Heroic looks more plum than berry, and not pink (despite bullet appearances). See, now you have to keep ‘em both. 🙂

So I frantically went through my stash to find this little guy. It’s Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Spiced Plum. I never worn it before, but it’s a formula I wanted to try. Plus the smell..:ooo-lala. I hope I have no reaction to it as I know others have. My fiancé will like this one as I had hoped...for now. 🤣

Thanks @cianni! I’m loving this Bite color and product. I’m using part of my reward to buy one of their new products. I think it’s a color pencil. I like the magenta and grape colors.

Day 42: Givenchy Le Rouge limited edition 212 Heroic Pink. Anything Givenchy and limited edition and I’m like give me give me!! Lol anyway I’m a bit stumped on this one as well. Don’t know why they labeled it “pink” as all I see is BERRY. One website I saw they say it’s a “medium-dark berry,” the other is “rich berry-pink.” And putting it on is even more confusing- looks like it’s a dark purple berry but in natural lighting it’s more pinkish berry! And the pictures it shows up the lighter tone too but it seems darker wearing it 🤷‍♀️ I also put up a side by side of my Framboise berry plum as well (left side) and I can’t tell a difference either! Am I just seeing things? I’m not sure I want two that look pretty much the same but if they aren’t I’ll keep them.

@SnugglePuggle94 Yeah, definitely berry. 😂 It’s lovely though. I’d need to see both shades swatched side by side on your hand to really pick up any differences, because they do look very similar to me in your photos—but that could be due to lighting. My inner lipstick junkie says “you can never have too many berries!” But I’m also almost ready to swatch-compare all my berries to purge exact dupes... almost ready. 😂
