A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.
@lmaster I was very happily surprised! It felt like a lip balm to me, so not annoying. I had to reapply often, but that was no biggie because it's not a deep shade. I am very picky on glosses and only have a few, but this one is a keeper.
@Weetart Ahhh that retinol redness! I switched off retinol year, still trying to find what works, but I do remember that redness! I have yet to own any pat mcgrath stuff, I’m so behind.
@lnum Yeah. I have been using Vitamin C forever and have loved it. My favorite from Lilyana Naturals. I've tried retinol in the past and I got too frustrated that I would stop after a month or so. This one I got from Soko Glam and am starting once a week to see if I can stand it. I can use high potency Vita C with no badness. I just bought a new powdered Vita C product that you can add to any serum and going to see if I like it more than Lilyana. Because less steps = happy Weetart.
Day 54 - a little more than halfway baybeeeeee! So today is a two fer, Bite Beauty Multistick in Cocoa and KVD Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Gold Skool from her 10th anniversary collection. I like this combo. Not too dark like with just the Bite, not too weird with just the KVD. The formula isn’t really dry. It’s more - how can I put this - maybe powdery? It dried this way. It’s something I’d definitely wear again. It kind of reminds me of my MAC Chestnut lipliner and Oh Baby Lipglass, but more mattified. I’ll put it through the wringers - eating, drinking, kissing, the usual, and report back later. I won’t be eating a lot though. My doctor, nurse practitioner and I are working to help me lose four pounds in four weeks. I weigh more than I ever weighed, and that’s even when I was pregnant. First telling the husband I want water when we go out since we don’t keep it in the house, then taking light walks at first a couple times a week. How about I put full makeup on before I go walking? I’d look like a melted snowman by the time I got done. 😄 ETA: This wore nicely. Barely got anything on my water bottle. I did finish Michael’s fries after he got done, but even that was a small victory. Normally I get a whole meal.

Thanks @Weetart! I have to start with a vengeance this time. While I have great blood pressure, low cholesterol and am not winded when I walk, I find that I have no core strength and I ache because of all this weight. I need to lose it and do work to strengthen my muscles. I keep falling most times when I try to get up. It’s embarrassing and annoying.

@divaknits Such a pretty colour on you. I really like the combo! I take my dog out for a walk every evening and I always touch myself up before I go out! (Never know who you might see)

I love it @divaknits you are giving me ideas lol. Very nice and not too gold (subtle and shimmery) 👍. A little bit each day. Eat healthy and that’s great that your setting up a plan with your practitioner but don’t beat yourself up. You are making an effort and for your health. How about you reward yourself with a little makeup purchase every time you reach a goal lol. An affordable lipstick for a small goal you stick to for say 21 days and then a mini-spree for a bigger goal and hmmm the mother load for a milestone like 25 pounds +.treat yourself and acknowledge your effort and success. It will matter to you ❤️ When you reach that goal you will need to go out and buy some new clothes. 🥳 I think I was past 180 pounds on a 5”3 frame. I had to replace everything except my socks haaaa
Reward eh? I never thought about doing that @2manyperfumes. More lipsticks! Yeah I can see doing minis every 10 pounds. Maybe a luxury lipstick after 30 pounds, and maybe a mini spree after 50 pounds. I hope this makes it doable. I had two tamales and a margarita as my quiet time away from my husband and daughter. I guess I can spend that time walking in the park instead of eating. This is gonna be hard, but so much better for my body. I can’t seem to get off the floor or from a squatting position without falling or holding onto something. It’s just embarrassing.
Small goals and acknowledge your efforts ❤️ That way you don’t feel like your missing out. You’re not alone and as we get older it’s just hard but not impossible. The body starts to adjust and some days we just want that slice of cake or a margarita yum lol. It’s time you take for yourself. Just say I’d rather spend my money on makeup then prescriptions as I age. We all have our battles.
