100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

MAC Mineralize Rich lipstick in Lush Life

I picked this up at Nordstrom Rack right when they first started carrying the brand a year or so ago, and have only worn it once or twice (but with as many as I have, the reality is I can only get to each one a couple of times a year, so I guess I'm right on track lol). This is another "repeat" for me...I tried it on early in the challenge, but never took a pic, so here it is for posterity.

I had it designated as a keeper, but putting it on today, it reminded me a bit of Bite's formula...almost gel-like and a bit difficult to get a straight line without a little work. When I wore this last, I'm pretty sure I just wore it for an hour or so before bed, so in gonna have to keep my eye on it today to see if it bleeds like most of my Bites did. 🤷

So far so good, not a hint of bleeding or feathering, yay! It wears down really quickly (which I'm not always opposed to), and does so mostly evenly, but as it does, I get a bit of zebra lips because it gathers in my lip lines. I may keep it, but will have to reserve it for days where I don't mind touching up pretty frequently.

I like when they fade gradually.  Pretty shade and it survived your testing 👍 how many lipsticks do you have (just curious) if you have an actual count because you mentioned you sometimes don’t get to wear a shade more than a couple of times.  Lol I guess I should tally up what I actually have I’m pretty sure I passed the 100 lipstick mark with recent hauls.

A rough count a couple of days ago puts me around 165, which is actually not quite as bad as I thought it would be lol. Once I get done with using all of them for the challenge, I need to swatch color families and see if I'm willing to part with any dupes (hahahaha not likely 😋), so that number could still go down a smidge. But considering I have one face, complete with one set of lips, and I don't wear makeup out and about every day, it's really still way too many for one person 😕

Everyone has something they collect ❤️ Well that’s not too bad it’s under 365 so your safe 😉 I have a few I need to see if they are worth keeping.  I think there are 3 test I’m not too happy with.  I’ll hsve to count to see what I have.

Day 31- Sephora Collection cream lip stain in #40 pink tea

I’m not a fan of this one. With the name pink tea I thought it would have a little more pink in it🤷‍♀️

That shade is quite brown on me too @faeriegirl. Every time I ask them for a good nude, they recommend this one even though I insist it doesn't look pink on me. Then I have to try it on to prove my point. 🤣 Better lips tomorrow!

@faeriegirl Although you are not a fan of it brings out your beautiful blue eyes. Maybe try to use pink lipliner underneath so it turns more pinkish.

That is not pink at all @faeriegirl 😔it looks more like a warm brown nude.  It doesn’t look bad on you though.
