100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@Mellmars1185 Thank you:)   Funny thing, I can’t remember where it’s from.  I think Hong Kong but I’m not positive.  I used to be able to remember exactly where everything came from.  I wonder if I have too many things now or if my memory isn’t  what it used to be.

This is really festive @Mellmars1185 , love it on you! 😍 I just received the Masquerade shade in the Dior Liquid Sequin and agree on being slightly drying. I used a normal satin lip over it and it did help without weird results while leaving the sparkles intact! 🤣

@Sunnysmom How exciting! That looks like a gorgeous shade. On the Sephora Canada app there are 3 shades to choose from. Did you order direct?

Did yes @Mellmars1185 ! I was bummed it also wasn’t on Sephora US! I bet the red would be so good for the holidays. Are you going to get it? Love to see it if so!

@Sunnysmom I don't think I can justify getting the red. I like the shade I chose but I almost regret not picking up the red one (instead) for the holidays.

On board with all the regrets over here @Mellmars1185 ! 😭 I wonder if you used a red liner all over and this shade over if it would be a fun red? Or a red gloss maybe too. Just to try and scratch the itch! If not , there’s always sales events ala Nordies or others! 🥰

@CynthieLu Yes, I couldn't resist! I wasn't happy with this combination when I left the house this morning. I felt like the liner didn't blend well. Maybe it is because of the cooler weather? Tagging @danielledanielle about the Fenty liner. I beleive we were chatting about how the temperature effects this liner. When I got to work I topped the Dior with Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer Riri for some hydration. The Dior is beautiful but it felt a bit dry. It could have been my lack of lip prep. But it is FUN! It also lasts a long time. I feel like the red shade would be fun for the winter holidays!

@Mellmars1185 The Dior was drying then?  It looks so good though!   I wonder if lip prep would help.  Or even a touch of gloss in the centre to distract from the dry feeling.  Did it stain your lips?

@heartsmyface Thank you! It goes on wet and smooth but dries down and feels a little dry. Maybe it is because the amount of shimmer in it? Yes I think a balm underneath would help and in the centre on top would be nice. I am going to keep trying it out in different ways. It is really a fun product!

I can see you having so much fun with this one, especially as the holidays and the festive season starts rolling in.

(I have read feedback that this lip behaves a bit on the dryer side @Mellmars1185 I think lip prep will be an important step to help you enjoy it more. @WinglessOne posted a bit about it on the monthly hauls thread too.)

It's a beautiful combo in this picture, I'm sorry to hear the liner and the lippie didn't work well together.

@Mellmars1185  I recently bought 2 of the Sequins liquid mattes direct from Dior and talked at length about one of ‘em (shade Stars) in the October Hauls Thread. I’m glad you like the one you bought, even though it’s a bit dry; I also find these drying, but I expected that since they’re liquid mattes. A good lip balm underneath definitely helps. 

Also, your liquid matte + liner combo looks great!
