100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

This is TOM FORD Lip Color Lipstick West Coast

Another new shade from the recent Tom Ford Lippie releases. 

I can tell this is going to be another easy to wear everyday shade for me. Is it a little less vibrant that the advertisement photo? Yes. But I do honestly love it. It feels incredible when I wear it and they just stay on the lips so long and fade beautifully.

This is TOM FORD Lip Color Lipstick Stunner 

Sadly, I don't find the pictures from the advertising are accurate. The color is not nearly as vibrant as pictured but this is still imo an absolutely gorgeous little lippie.

Stunners color description is terracotta and I can already tell this will be a fantastic everyday shade. It feels wonderful on my lips. 😃

I can definitely try it, thank you! @Mellmars1185 do you think trying an entire layer of liner under is best or just the outline? 🧐

@CynthieLu i think both will work. It depends on the look you are going for. You could start try outlining and feathering/blending into the lips for a more ombre effect and then top with the lipstick. You could fill in more if you want more coverage/vibrancy?

I feel like the vibrancy of these colours are amped up in advertising, which makes me a little sad @caitbird I can't say for sure but it does feel like it. It's lovely and a beautiful formula to wear and I like this one alot, but I'm my heart I want to own a shade like the one in ad.

@CynthieLu  yeah, it is too bad when advertising is inaccurate or misleading, even if that wasn't the brand's intention. 😔 Maybe you can get a color closer to the ad photos if you used lip liner like @Mellmars1185  suggested? Or maybe try using a lip primer?

I'm going to try that and see @caitbird using my lip primer is a good idea! I don't even need a primer with this formula, it's so good on its own, I never would have thought of it. 🙏
