100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

@RGbrown Bright lipstick looks great on you. I like the simplicity of this look, to let color speak for itself. Now you need to wear Rouge 74, the purple one, to represent Amethyst for February! 💜💜

I loooooove bright lippies! They can definitely stand on their own (though I have also been known to overboard with bright lips + bold eyes...I can rarely pick just one when I do a full face lol). I didn't even think about the month change, but the purple one is coming up tomorrow 😄

KVD Bauhua5 and Loreal Juliennes Red. Sorry for the cat hair lol I don't have a way to edit that out at the moment. I found this cheap phone ring light at Wal-Mart. It looks funny but it really helps remove my yellow lighting and bring the colors more true to life.

@Samtian  I’ve been looking at phone ring lights to counteract my stupid warm indoor lighting (vs. installing filters around all my light fixtures 😂). Which one did you buy? 

Also, both lipsticks are lovely on you.

Pat MCgrath Mini Lust Lacquer in Celestial Ruby.

Waahhh! I really love the color(bright red) but it does bleed even when you eat carefuly. 😞 I used 2 red lipliners-Bite Beauty and Milani while trying not to put too much lacquer on the edges. I really wanted to like it but it is not a carefree lip gloss to wear. The color covers the lip with one swipe.

Small pic in corner to show bleeding lips.Perfect pigmentation but poor wearability.

@Buootiful I found this disappointing as well. It's a gorgeous color but wearing it I had 2 coworkers tell me I had lipstick on my teeth. I agree it also bled. What a bummer. It looks lovely though.

What a disappointment! @Buootiful it's a lovely color, but definitely don't want the bleeding,, did you try using a lip primer around the perimeter of your lips?

@Buootiful like if you take a lip primer and apply it around the perimeter of your lips and then apply the lippie, maybe it wouldn't bleed so fast

@Buootiful  Aw, this makes me sad. I still haven’t bought this mini trio, mostly because of all the chronic bleeder complaints about this shade—and it’s the shade I’m most interested in. 😞 On a positive note, it’s a smokin’ red on you!
