100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Lipstick 256: ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip in Wolfie. The first CP gloss I’ve ever tried, I think. Shiny, pearlescent, and looks fantastic—until it starts to feather. A lot. And I HATE the brush applicator: it’s too stiff to bend at all, and one bristle decided to splay out. It was very hard to get a clean outline. I had to do lots of cleanup after application. 

ColourPop Ultra Glossy Lip in Wolfie

If I keep this, I’ll have to use a different applicator for it. Hopefully one of my old decluttered CP liquid matte applicators will fit in this gloss tube. And I’ll have to use both liner and a primer perimeter to stop the bleed. Wolfie’s future does not look promising.

@WinglessOne   Maybe you can take a lip brush to the applicator and apply it with that.  That doesn’t stop the bleeding though:/.  Yeah sometimes you just have to cut your losses (and spend eternity finding a dupe for that shade)

Thanks @l8totheparty ! I think Wolfie is close to one of my Lancôme L’Absolu Lacquer shades, and that’s a FAR better gloss formula. All the more reason to ditch Wolfie, so it’s officially a declutter.

Had trouble deciding so... Lipstick 8: Good Jujube from Bite Lipstick 9: Sour Cherry also from Bite. Should have gone for a deeper red but I was running out the door

Lipstick 255: Bite Amuse Bouche in Hot Harissa, tamed at the corners with Pat McGrath PermaGel lip pencil in Manhattan.

First time I’ve worn makeup (besides brow pencil) in several days. Still feeling kinda crummy, but temps reached the high 30s (F) today and I didn’t want to miss an opportunity to run a couple errands. Cabin fever’s hitting me hard. 😄
