100 Days of Lipstick Challenge

Hi BIC!

A lot of us have talked about our huge lipstick collections, and with the passing of another National Lipstick Day, I took stock of mine. I have about 200 lipsticks and glosses and realized, I only wear about 20 of them! So I'm challenging myself (and whoever else wants to join) to use more of them. I'm going to try to wear a different lipstick every day for the next 100 days.

Lipstick number 252: Pat McGrath LuxeTrance in She’s So Deep. One of the 3 full size bullets I packed for my trip (plus a few minis). Surprisingly not a LuxeTrance shade I owned before Pat’s fantastic Cyber Monday sale, so I’m glad it wasn’t sold out by the time I placed my order. When I get home, I’ll compare it to NARS Audacious Deborah. I’m pretty sure She’s So Deep has a redder undertone—more brownish burgundy than Deborah’s hot cocoa. Y’all already know how I feel about the LuxeTrances, so I won’t repeat my performance notes. 🙂

PMG She’s So Deep. She’s also 48 years old as of today.

I’m at my parents’ house in Florida for the next few days. The lighting is frustrating: waaaay too warm in my guest bedroom and bathroom (makes my bathroom lighting at home seem amazing), so I sometimes go into the closet where the fluorescent lighting makes my phone camera skew green. That t-shirt is black, not blue, but it’s as close to true color I could get with tint and temp adjustments. 🤦‍♀️

61. PMG MatteTrance in McMenamy. This was my first MatteTrance and yup, it started a problem. Sorry for the warm orange light; I mean seriously I look suntanned here... I need better lights for my vanity... but it still a great shade lipstick in any light. I think this works best with liner. There are some ragged edges when I applied without (as pictured) after my morning coffee I will do it up with liner for a sharp look.
